Biden says 'nothing we can do' to change pandemic 'trajectory' in coming months

You act as though my issue with this is because I'm pro-Putin. I actually would probably side with Navalny on their whole deal, but its THEIR deal.
I'm curious, was it THEIR deal when the Russian government sabotaged our nation's information systems with a cyber-attack?

Once upon a time, our country was the beacon of liberty and would stand up to authoritarians who try to stay in power by arresting their chief rivals (you know, like Trump WANTED his Attorney General, Bill Barr, to do to Biden.) Apparently the Constitution doesn't mean as much as it used to for some Americans.

I guess I don't think that was something worth escalating things over because we are doing the exact same stuff to them. Had they done some damage, respond in kind.

WTF??? Not something worth escalating things over?

Last year Putin had a bounty on the heads of American servicemen and initiated a covert cyber-attack of mission-critical information systems in our country--but harsh words by our new press secretary, Jenn Psaki, about the arrest of a Russian dissident is too much???

Earth to Crazy: We're not Russia's bitch anymore.

The bounty thing was never proven, and the cyber attacks are mutual. Had they actually done something other than the type of espionage both sides engage in, we would have responded in kind. Should we sanction China for doing this exact same thing to us?

It’s true. Do you not think that we attack Russia with cyberattacks?? How naive

Additionally, the bounty thing was NEVER PROVEN
Its hilarious to think that every other country is spying on one another except for us. Maybe we stopped under the Trump Administration, but....

Can we stop the needless bickering? Biden is president, things are soon to be honkey dory. The Russian communist are bad, the China Communist are our best buddies, and Hunter has Ukraine under control.

Being alarmist and saying the worst case is smart politics vs overpromising and not meeting the expectations

You can't help but laugh that the guy that won because of how badly the media and his campaign painted the Trump COVID response, "Hire me and I'll fix it," comes out with an "agressive" plan that underperforms the system already in place from the previous administration and that's without taking into account increases in production and the approval of new vaccines, such as the Johnson and Johnson vaccine, that will add a huge amount of doses to the total. Especially when they primed the hero narrative with an outright lie about not being left a plan and then submit their "I'm so awesome" plan only to have to pivot away from it entirely because they look like idiots.

1.6 million doses administered on Friday and Joe's plan is to get to 1 million per day. Ask him about it and he says "c'mon man, give me a break. You said it was impossible when I suggested it".

So Russian AND CHINESE hackers can do bad things to the US?
Yep, that's true. Glad you guys are on board now.

So travel bans are GOOD now?
Yep, when we're fighting a pandemic with its emerging new and more contagious strains.

So paying attention to the slow rollout of the Covid-19 vaccines is SUDDENLY IN VOGUE now?
Yep, that's what we've been saying all along. We were supposed to reach 20 million vaccinations before the end of last year.

Good lord you are such a shill.

Joe has it figured out. New hvac systems and plexiglass will make things safe again.

What did you want him to say? Hey Chicago Teachers, screw your fears, get back in the classroom!!!!

If the expense of making the classrooms safer is too much for Chicago, then change the vaccine priorities so that all teachers get their shots first in order to return to their classrooms or continue distance learning.

Remote learning is far from ideal for many students, but neither is forcing teachers back into large classrooms.

Clearly the teachers unions aren't really that concerned about the welfare of their students. They are humiliating themselves and the whole country can see it.

We could have had more now but the previous administration passed on purchasing more when they had the chance.

Lol. So on December 14th, the Trump administration was working on this 200 million dose agreement.

"The U.S. did sign a contract with Pfizer to deliver 100 million doses on July 22, and spokespeople at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services told the Times that they “are confident that we will have 100 million doses of Pfizer’s vaccine as agreed to in our contract, and beyond that, we have five other vaccine candidates, including 100 million doses on the way from Moderna.”

Hmmmm....if we purchased 100 million doses of Pfizer's vaccine last summer (not counting Moderna) and we've only vaccinated around 24 million Americans to this point, why have States had to cancel vaccination appointments because they ran out?

I would imagine its either a production or distribution chain issue. I can't imagine its that easy to distribute 100 million of anything that has to be stored at 80 degrees below zero. Its not like you can hire spee-dee delivery to transport this stuff in the back of a van.

For the record, the Pfizer vaccine storage temp is -70C plus or minus 10C and the Moderna vaccine is between -25C and -15C (which is -13F and +5F). So the Moderna vaccine can be transported by regular refrigerated trucks without any issues.

yeah I think Moderna will end up having more shots in arms than Pfizer in the end bc of how much easier it is to distribute and store. Johnson & Johnson should be used for the youngest populations when that gets approved
