Big 12 Expansion: UCF & USF Is Still Your Answer

" while a lot are commuters," Does that mean they're not fans? Does that mean they don't have TVs? Perhaps, maybe, for those who actually think that phrase means anything it might be a good idea to join the 20th century, let alone the 21st. Those who think game attendance is all important might just want to join this century, and get out of the 1930s when there was no such thing as a TV. Then once that monumental change has happened, then you can talk to them about "cable cutting". Does anyone in that conference ever look into the future?

"Maybe the American Athletic Conference will like the idea and reverse and start going after Big 12 teams." Now if you can stop laughing long enough to comment on that.

nice. that would make the COMPLETE PACKAGE...P-5 invite to the Big-12.

If they are planning for the future (and TV markets) they should add us.

We've been over this for year! :)

UCF spent about $1M on research to woo the Big 12?

Unfortunately this article said we played for the CUSA championship....nothing like accuracy in reporting.

There are two types of commuters

1) Working adult's looking for career advancement by going part time. These are indeed less likely to go to games, but might still watch big games on TV.

2) Students whose parents live nearby so they save money by living with mom & dad. These can be as engaged as students living on campus. They still joins clubs and go to games and want to have the college experience.

Also, UCF has nearly 70k students, so even if half our enrollment doesn't give a shit about UCF athletics that leaves 35k who do care, which is still larger than most other universities total enrollment
