Ever since the weekend I've been hearing buzz about a "big name" that was apparently set to join Scott Frost's staff. I really didn't have much to go on, other than comments that it would send shockwaves throughout college football and be a national story when it goes down.
That's really all I had. I was thinking of making a post on Monday, but thought I could uncover more information. Today, I heard from two more sources who were giddy with excitement over this supposed "big name" but didn't want to divulge anything further.
I was really intrigued. Who would constitute a big name? I was thinking perhaps an ex-head coach? An ex-NFL player? Who could it be?
I shared this information with a few people I was chatting with the basketball game, among them @We Want Ducks. Brainstorming about certain possibilities and whatnot because I was going to make this post later tonight.
Credit goes to Ducks, because he started asking some folks and appears to have uncovered the "big name" first through his own sources. As the evening has turned into morning, I have received some acknowledgment that this "big name" is indeed the one being rumored.
Is it definitely happening? I heard it could happen next week, so we shall see if it does.
