When the new Big 10 commish gets settled in, he will see what the numbers look like in adding Washington and Oregon. He can get them at a discount, or wait until the ACC GOR gets closer to expiration and see if they can pull in Virginia and North Carolina when that conference is torn apart.
The PAC appears to have bad choices before them at this time. If they patch together a deal that gets them close to the Big 12 dollars, it means they have to accept a high percentage of streaming, which hurts exposure/recruiting. If they go with a better exposure (ESPN big game of the week offer) the dollars fall to the low to mid twenties, and the coral gate is open. Either way, the Big 12 is in a good position.
Actually, does the Big 12 lay chilly on the PAC schools, and wait to see what is available once the ACC blows up? Georgia Tech? North Carolina st.? Miami? Are Florida and South Carolina able to block Florida st. and Clemson from SEC membership?
