This "JBoy Show" interview with Auburn quarterback transfer Bo Nix just dropped on Youtube.
Cliff's:
He first talks about Auburn, feels because he's graduated (in three years) he's fulfilled the obligations he has for himself.
He was then asked if he has a few schools in mind.
"I think when you look at it from afar, the main thing is to go somewhere that needs a quarterback and can kind of make ends meet to what a great team is going to look like. I'm excited to go and find a new team that's eager to continue to have success. I would like to go into a place, like I said, they're just missing a quarterback for the piece of the puzzle to be really good. So that's not everywhere. Not everywhere needs a quarterback. There's a lot of places out there with great quarterbacks and other places about to land a quarterback like me in the transfer portal. A lot of factors go into it. I just want to go somewhere I can have an impact. Somewhere to not only have success, but can bring success to the guys around me and help them succeed. Make my team better, wherever that may be."
How quickly could he have a decision?
"I'm going to continue to take it slow. I'm not necessarily in a huge hurry. I'm going to take my time and go to a place that's a right fit."
He was asked whether conference matters to him, which led to a long quote about the SEC West being the toughest division in college football.
"I've proven I can play in the SEC against great competition and succeed in that situation. It doesn't mean I have to necessarily stay in the SEC. It's more about the school than the schedule. It's the situation. I could play in the SEC or I could not. It doesn't necessarily matter to me."
Time frame?
"I'm taking it as it goes. I don't want to rush. This is the most important decision of my life thus far. I want to go ahead and know so I can start reaching out to people and making connections and hit the ground running when I get there. I'll start when they start the second semester of the year. I want to go into the offseason with confidence knowing where I'm gonna go. That will make the transition easier. The sooner the better, but I won't make a rushed decision that may not be the best for me."
