Bortles is Backup tonight for Saints

Sad really....has completed just 1 pass since 2018.
Utterly amazing if he is even in football shape. I'm surprised he would even be signed. Hasn't really played since 2018. You have to wonder if he he even works out and prepares as if he is trying to return to the game. With the cash bucket he has accumulated, I wonder if the motivation is there as well. It wouldn't be for me. I would have moved on to other things in life (especially knowing I could easily live off the dividends/distributions from my investments).

He was in GB camp this year while Rodgers sat out so I think he still at least throws on side still. No way he knows more than 5 plays though.

Bortles was released by Saints. Luckily. They have 3 other QBs and may draft one. After draft he needs to asses where he can be at least 3rd if not 2nd on a roster.
He won’t be 2nd on any roster until halfway thru the season and six starters go down with injuries. His destiny is to sit at home playing golf waiting for injuries.

He needed to be released. Payton left anyway. New coach was making moves like he will keep Winston and probably get rid of Hill and probably draft another QB.

I think he’s too old for those other leagues. Steelers could use a 3rd string now but they probably draft someone. Willis from Liberty is favorite now.

Dude has like 30 million reasons not to want to take anymore hits and put his body under more stress.

As a fan would love to see him on an NFL team but he certainly doesn't have to be on a team.
