Brent Key is on pace to become the worst oc in cfb history.

Im afraid we will never know what kind of caliber OC Key really is. How can anyone produce as a coordinator with undersized, slow, weak, and green players at all positions. Perhaps Key the recruiting coordinator should have done a better job helping Key the offensive coordinator.

I called it at the beginning of the year that it was a bad place for Key to be in. GOL wants to run a specific offense, so Key was going to be handicapped going into the job. GOL may have just made and destroyed Brent Key.

I have stated this before. If GOL really wanted to retire and was interested in the AD job, he shouldve kept Brent Key as Associate Head Coach but his responsibilities would resemble an Executive Coordinator. That means both coordinators would answer to him. He has the final say with Head Coach GOL having the power to override of course. Someone brought up how attention to detail GOL is and that the only one who can match that was coach Key. I can imagine how these awful decisions affected their strengths....but i guess no one is to blame. Hmmm maybe GOL will blame Coach Key and the players for driving him to make those decisions...cause apparently the way he's talking right now its apparent he got pressured into the positon.

Seriously, bashing Key is kind of pointless. I understand the reflex thought process: "well Key is the offensive coordinator and our offense sucks, therefore Key sucks." That thought process makes sense but it just isn't that simple I am afraid. Ask yourselves if any other person on earth could put together an offensive scheme that is successful against our competition with these players. They lack size, speed, athleticism, play-making ability, and experience. Keep blaming Key's offensive schemes. You are wasting your time. Better energy is spent pointing the blame at the lack of recruiting foresight (Key can take some heat here, along with GOL and all other recruiters), injuries, overall youth, previous sanctions being felt, and also the players are simply not executing. I know Key calls the plays and we hate when he tries to run the ball. We want him to just abandon the run and pass, pass, pass. Again, thinking simply, I can understand that complaint. But in each game that this team abandons the run, the other team scores points like crazy because our turnovers go through the roof and our defense spends waaaaaaay too much time on the field. When Key calls a run play, it fails. When Key calls a pass play, it fails but with an increased likelihood of a turnover and with less clock burnt. I say run the damn ball all day so the score doesn't look as bad when we inevitably lose.

Bro our offense sucked against FIU when everyone was healthy. Do you remember the last three plays before the blocked fg?

Are you saying that we were talented against FIU? Even when healthy, the team is void of talent as a whole. Yes the last 3 plays were bad. But all you can do is point to 3 plays as an example. Not a good argument when making sweeping judgements. Even if healthy, I say we go 1-11 with an eeked out win over Furman. Which available OC will produce a better result with the given available talent? I expect to hear crickets from you Stormthecourt.

I believe Beckton could have won one game so far
