Did anybody see it on tv? I was so busy cursing GOL that I missed it. Did it look good?

From the stands it looked good. My fear with it was realized though...it is always going to look empty on TV because everyone congregates below.

That very thought hit me yesterday as well.

Maybe they should consider selling Cabana only (standing) tickets.. Just because. It doesn't solve that problem at all but that's also a thought I had.

You mean the Carl Blank and Gold Cabana? They blocked it off for VIP eyes only. You couldn't even peek in without being told to buzz off. Stands looked about 40% full but the section was probably 80-90% full.

bianchi talked about it this morning with Marc. Said it needs some window dressing. Palms and a water feature. They also were reading this forum on the air. Kind of funny. Message Board Meltdown! I'm almost over this loss already. However, I do plan on watching the game tonight on DVR.

The Cabana is excellent. I was there. Good food and drinks. $7 for a premium beer is a great price and 4 Rivers catering was on point. While improvements can and i'm sure will be made, UCF did an outstanding job. The ceiling fans in the Cabana are the modern giant devices that have this cool industrial look. Great layout and cool ambiance. Glad I made the investment. The Cabana will be the silver lining to what looks like will be a miserable season.

Looking at the times it was shown on TV, the seats looked about 1/2 to 2/3 full most of the time. Not bad, but the upper 1/3 being almost completely empty made it look less full that the non-premium sections on either side.

I would think most football fans, as TV viewers, would recognize that is the nature these clubs is that fans won't always be sitting in their seats. When I looked back from the east side lower bowl, it seemed like there were always a lot of fans standing up by the rail. The westside club seats seldom look full, either, and I'm glad we don't have that situation for the TV side where they are concealed behind glass when out of their seats.

I don't know whether it was Bianchi or Daniels who said it, but I totally agree that it needs window dressing. I was disappointed by it.
