In this thread 2nd day after announcing his transfer it was rumored he left because of issue with training/medical staff. Doubt anything new was found just recently about his health, just he is being more public about it.

Players are leaving because of problems with non coach staff. That’s concerning.

Yes and that’s what I was eluding to. Another player had complaints about medical staff too.

If he was denied an MRI from the team, I'm certain he got one elsewhere given that he knows all these specific injuries.

It's possible the staff informed him he wouldn't be able to play if he was diagnosed with something and he chose to postpone it. In this case he could have felt pressured not to pursue treatment, leading him to say h was denied an MRI.

This situation reminds me of healthcare in the military.
I grew up in the military, Italy, Georgia, France, Germany, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. I served in Germany/ I never had to wait, never refused service; had great care by Army and Air Force medical and dental personnel. I can't speak for the VA but I had great "socialized" medical care while on active duty or as a dependent.

Mary has been at UCF too long where a change is probably needed but still calling bs on this. Cam is leaving out something in the story , telling you it doesn’t matter if he has no insurance athletics easily would sign an mri referral and pick up the bill. they do it for non revenue sports fairly easily

In my experience they will do everything possible to avoid paying for an MRI. And some commands will shame you if others have to carry your weight because you're injured.

Like someone said, you cannot just walk in and ask for an MRI. You need a referral. If the sports doctor thought an x-ray was enough to determine the extent of an injury the doctor would not refer an MRI. There are special x-rays that are good for meniscus tears and Doctors can usually judge the extent of a knee tear from these special x-rays.

I know this because I took someone to an ER and saw the X-rays and Doctors diagnosis of a ligament tear. The player got an MRI eventually, but the MRI confirmed everything the doctor determined. The MRI showed more detail of the extent of the LCL tear.

Even if the patient asks, the doctor had the decision to judge this or not.

Not saying my situation applies to Cams, mine is just a story.

Just had to put my military health experiences in-- 2 different families from separate places in the US, served in 2 different wars, different locations, and military health care is not terrible, but pretty close. From both, the care out of military was much better than they got while serving. (neither fortunately needed VA care so no comment on that, just while serving )

edit: To be fair wars were WWII and Vietnam, so it could have/probably has improved.
