Fans are upset that Florida's recruiting is not more further along.

I grew up in Tallahassee. Father worked for Florida State. Almost went there but decided Orlando was a better place, more to do, and became a UCF fan the day I was accepted.

Disliking the Gators is part of my upbringing. It's encoded. Natural. A purely organic distaste. When beating them this last year, it was like things came full circle...and now I get to dislike them as a UCF fan.

Its so predictable yet hillarious. UF will be ranked preseason #8 bc of Napier who has been billed the 2nd coming of christ, despite us whooping them with our backups
You forget the big media talking points. UF just wasnt motivated for the game.

Fully agree. Year 2 will be fan meltdowns/hot seat season and after the 3rd season he gone. That's if he's not gone after year 2 haha.
This coming year they should be decent with Richardson at QB. If he stays healthy he will be a Heisman finalist. He’ll declare after the season

7 yr, 51.8 million contract.

If Napier is terminated without cause, the UAA will be responsible for 85 percent of the total remaining annual compensation through the otherwise unexpired term, without any mitigation obligations incurred by Napier or offset rights attributed to UAA.

The payments would be made as follows: 50 percent paid within 30 days of termination, the remainder paid in equal installments (12.5%) over four years, with the first installment paid on the first July 15th following such termination and each July 15 thereafter until paid in full.

If fired after 3 years that would mean UF would have to pay out 25.415 million to fire him. They have made a long term decision with this cat. That would be a lot of money to flush down the drain, on top of having to pay a new coach (which will likely cost even more money).

I mean personally, I would want my team to suck after 3 seasons so I can get fired and still get paid 25.415 million not to work. Seems like a pretty sweet deal once you get to this level (and I'm not denigrating anybody, they have all worked extremely hard to be where they are at, usually over decades).
