while I think she made the job more attractive, that's not the main reason I think we'll be fine. the primary reasons are: the big 12 and the financial commitment. she didn't have anything to do with the former, but good candidates notice the commitment that was made to her.
i actually want coaches who want to move up. coach dawkins is satisfied and the program is stagnating. i want hunger and ambition.

If true, seems in poor taste to announce on April 1st where you have a lot of people questioning the legitimacy and holding out hope. Suddenly the men's program is looking like a shining star in comparison going into the B12.

Women were good for AAC. Not SEC. Battles is only one that will be good in League. Lewis and the other girl were bench players for us. The big played a little too soft for my liking but I think UGA will be in a rebuild as well and at least they are getting familiar players. Unless Abe can convince some of the players to not go to TA&M.
She was planning on staying too, as Coach Abe was talking about looking forward to her staying in her last press conference after the UConn game. Seems like this was truly unexpected for everybody. Oh well, let’s just applaud this year that they had because it looks like they’re going back to irrelevance for awhile.
During most of the games this year Abe only ran a rotation of 7 players for meaningful minutes. Lewis came off the bench but she had the second most minutes per game behind Battles and lead the team in steals despite being a 'bench player'.
For Smith it was obvious that Abe wanted to rotate the 3 bigs so she started Kaba and Thomas but Smith rotated in so all three stayed fresh (Kaba had 29.5 MPG, Smith 23.5 MPG and Thomas 23.4 MPG). Smith had the best offensive talent of the three.
Of that rotation 3 of the players graduated, 3 are now transferring and 1 is left. We need a new coach ASAP.
