Malzahn should have his "coaching license" revoked and maybe even prosecuted for wreckless disregard and coaching malfeasance. We went 8 games deep with "dereliction at quarterback" until Dylan took control of the levers. After a 5 game losing skid, at least 4 of which were winnable , Gus-O finally wakes up and plays the QB that should have been the starter from game 1 .... and what happens, we win !!!

We'll see how Dylan does next week on the road vs. a real team.
You can call it a "real team" if you like. But regardless of what he does in that game, he showed the ability to make passes, reads, etc. that neither of the previous three showed they had the ability to do.

Rizk is not as good a runner as KJ or Jacurri, but he's significantly better at passing than they are at running....

Maybe this is too binary but did Gus not play Rizk because he couldn't read the talent, or he was too stubborn to his system to not play the better QB? Or both? Either would be concerning. If anything his run first offense gets better when the defense isn't stacking the box because of a legit pass threat.

I agree with your take on Rizk but KJ's a runner??? Maybe back in the day but now he looks over weight and he's as slow as a slug! And even if he could run and can't pass, he's not an effective QB. If you want to use KJ then see if he can be an effective power back, someone who can consistently get you 1 to 2 yards no matter what. I still cannot believe gus paid good money for this guy. I have always believed if a starting player loses his starting position there has to be a good reason. GOOD COACHES don't bench winners.

I'm in on Rizk after what I saw against Arizona, and from what I saw from him I think he's better than the guy I'm about to mention, but it's worth reminding everyone that people can have games where they play way over their heads. Darriel Mack anyone? Guy had one of the greatest QB performances in school history in the Conference Championship game against Memphis, and was pretty bad in every other game he played in college.

So I'm very optimistic about Rizk, but let's not crown him completely yet.

He seems smarter than Mack. He studies film and knows what he’s looking at. Mack did not. He had no idea where he should throw ball.

Gus pissed a lot of money away on KJ. :-(

OH HOW soon they forget. Remember ECU, Navy, usf. Tulsa,? And you ridicule a P5 team?

I do get it, we were fortunate to have figured out an offense before they did, but they sure as **** weren't the aboved mentioned.

Too stubborn. People think these coaches take advice, read the paper, get on social media, go on message boards, etc… The majority have “their way or the highway” mentality when the rubber hits the road.

Correct. I am far from excusing Malzone but everyone that crowns a dude based on one game doesn’t know ball.

Rizk has been around for a couple of years and he was 4th string, Malzone even started a true freshman that was a mid 3* (a tiny kid) over Rizk. There’s no way that Malzone can be that incompetent m…the man coached in the SEC for a decade.

Rizk can be a great surprise but fans going off after one game is crazy. Let’s see this weekend on the road when the opponent has some film on him.

First off, EJ Colson is the future of UCF. Second, that *flash on the pan* Rizk is just a placeholder.
