When I first signed up, there was a big ECU presence....as that era was the high point of their existence winning CUSA titles in '08 and '09 and Chris Johnson ran all over us whenever we played.

Everyone loves, fears, and respects Gus. He re-invented and revolutionized the wing T. You can't spell genius without GUS. I am not sure CFB would be unsustainable without Gus.

It's pitiful. UCF is pitiful. Gus left because the school couldn't pay his buyout. I think the school is struggling to pay the buyouts of Gus's assistant coaches.
Frost's cronies are analysts, fired assistants, and unheralded G5 guys nobody wants. Outside of Grinch, Clark, and Kenny Martin, none of them are worthy of a $100k salary.
Gus should volunteer to pay the $6 million buyout for leaving just so UCF can pay off his assistants and afford a lower tier P4 coaching staff.

My value is when FSU is playing in the CFP next year I can tell you how great Gus is.
Decent signing. Kid has played behind some NFL caliber QB’s in Hooker, Milton, Rourke.
His three starts against P4 programs in 2023 we’re not impressive at all, but he’s a body.
Not sure he’s any better or worse than Rizk or J. Brown, but he’s better than Fancher. Nice depth piece, good buy-low candidate.

There's obviously a reason the IU coaches felt they needed to bring in a portal QB and not give the job to him. But when IU's starting QB was injured, he did have a very good game off the bench against Nebraska (7-8, 91 yds with 2 TD's) and then followed with just an OK game the next week as the starter against Washington (11-19, 124 yds and a TD). He'll definitely need to be coached up but both Wash and Neb were bowl teams this year so he has some good experience.
Kaedin Robinson, Apps best WR by far now in the portal.....he has developed really well since he left us before. Maybe he will follow Clark.
Assume you are talking about Tayven Jackson, now shown as being committed to us. Good size (6' 4"), 4 star out of HS, 86 transfer grade, 2 years left. Decent low risk pickup who can compete with the guys already here

Can take off and make plays with his feet. Gets rid of the ball quickly, does not try to hold it too long or sandlot play despite his athleticism. Did not throw a high volume of balls in high school compared to other top quarterback recruits and must continue to polish pure passing skills and mechanics. I do realize that and he was great for us then. I have decided to trust Frost until he shows me that I shouldn't. It is going to take some time for him to put Humpty Dumpty back together after Gus the Bust.

Would assume after Jackson that Frost is done with portal QBs. probably bringing in one more QB through whatever is left in the HS recruiting class.
The more arms…the better for UCF. Now the priority (offense) is to get a WR with proven production…maybe not in a P4 conference but production at the FBS level.
Obviously, more OL are needed.
There’s nothing worthwhile in the high school level for 2025 that UCF could get. It would be the equivalent of wasting a spot for 2025…they are done with QB imo.
UCF is behind the 8 ball for a 2026 QB as well. It’s important for the passing game to have a pulse in 2025. QB are recruited early…years in advance.
