College Football Playoff expansion on hold,

Pac12 stays together with this, AAC/MWC gets in most years. Rules will make sure B10/SEC gets most at large.

With the new playoff isn’t it in the Big12’s interest to scrap the conference championship game? It accomplishes several things:
1. Conference champ decided by regular season record
2. One less loss for whomever would have lost in CCG, thereby increasing odds of getting second team into 6 at large bids.
3. Extra week of rest for whomever we send to playoff

If I remember correctly, not having one prevented them from being considered a conference champion for the current CFP criteria.
