Im being told I have to host a bachelor party because the Best Man is too much of a married wimp to plan something fun for the dudes but at the same time will be something that his wife will sign off on.

I'm thinking Colombia, in part just to piss off his wife for sticking me with the job through her cuntary. He will have to go because he's the best man, plus he lives in North Dakota, so it will cost him a million effing dollars to get there, whereas the rest of us live in Florida and it is cheaper than flying to Chicago.

All of that said, if you have been to Colombia, what is the verdict? Where to go, what to do, etc.

I had a coworker who went down to Medellin to get a wife. Not kidding. He got one, but had to make a couple of trips to get her back to the US.

IIRC Colombia was where the SS agents got robbed after picking up some women at a bar. The story went that prostitutes will troll bars for Americans, flirt with them and get them to take the pros back to their hotel rooms and have sex, then spring the "now you owe me $100" routine on the guys. The SS agents went cheap and the pimps came in and beat them up for non-payment, or something like that.

In all seriousness, i've been to the Atlantic coast of Colombia (Barranquilla/Cartagena/Santa Marta) and it's a good area for a solo traveler or maybe a fighter/wingman scenario. The entire country is still involved in a 45 year+ long civil war with narco-traffickers, so anything could happen at anytime.

UCF11nand1 is right, try not to do stupid shit, but with a group of 8 to 20 drunk Americans there's probably a good chance that someone's going to fukk up at some point. Surely there are better options for a bachelor party (google "sosúa women").

But should you decide on Colombia, do not . . . ever . . . touch "the product." Even a trace amount of powder on your shirt collar will get you all in a world of trouble at any Colombian airport.

I probably wouldn't take a bunch of guys out of the country if their objective is to get drunk. Somebody is hoing to do something stupid and emergency services won't respond in 5 minutes. The link is for studying abroad and not getting drunk but my answer to both is "no shit!"

Prostitution is legal down there. I was going to waste time giving Huffy some pointers but since they are probably going to go find prostitutes, they'll have to deal with shady people anyway.

Some of the dudes will go and do that type of stuff. Some of them won't. Any pointers on where to go, what to do would be helpful. The hooker thing will happen wherever, Im sure, whether Im planning the trip or not. I've broken enough laws in other countries to know that fooling around with that type of thing is a bad idea, even if it is legal or apparently legal on its face.
