COMMIEFORNIA STRIKES AGAIN: San Francisco trying to make it illegal to call the police on black people

I see that our resident Kens think it's okay to call the police on Black people for doing nothing.

Dumb...you can already be charged for misuse of emergency. I never heard of people just randomly calling 911 over and over to report a black person. This is creating laws for no reason.
It happens in Maitland all the time. They call it “walking while black.” Police are duty-bound to respond to suspicious person calls and make contact with the individual. Hence, the beginning of the Jacob Blake interaction.

The problem is that you’re criminalizing people calling for help. There are all kinds of secondary effects from that as well.

Calling 911 just because someone is black is so common that it makes national news when it actually happens. I can't open the newspaper without reading dozens of articles on the issue.*

The best part of this story is that someone was actually quoted because they were offended by the use of the term "Karen", when neither her name or the bill are spelled the same way.

I'm sure that you haven't. Google "white woman calls police", there are lots of stories.

They are also putting the life of the person who they are calling the police on at risk. Weaponizing law enforcement should be a crime.

Keeping pounding that false narrative. It’s good for everyone.

i like how this is forcing our resident leftists to admit that creating hysteria over nothing is a problem in today's society.

One was shooting at police. One was called over domestic abuse and not listening after reaching into the car. Almost all these are phony narratives that cops are just randomly killing black guys
And one was walking down the sidewalk minding his own business. Unfortunately, someone thought he looked "sketchy."

Ahmad Aubery (jogging). Brenna Taylor (sleeping). George Floyd (shopping). Atatiana Jefferson (sitting at home). Elijah McLain (walking).

Lives are endangered every time some person calls the police on a black person.
Props. It'll be interesting to see how many you catch

A. That’s not all of them.
B. George Floyd was not simply shopping, that is an outright lie.
C. Elijah McLain reached for an officer’s gun and actually died as a result of ketamine administered by the FD and not the PD.
D. There’s more to the Breonna Taylor story than BLM wants to admit and the Ben Crump stories were all shown as lies.
E. Ahmad Arbery was not a police action.

You wanna go for more?

This is going to be the best thing ever for black people. They now get to kill off each other without those damn white people
Interfering

all of those have been debunked

The obliviousness shown in this thread is the prime example of the need for legislation.

Elijah "Merkel-clone" McLain reached for the officer's gun??!? You honestly believe that bullshit?

Why in God's name would McLain have EVER reached for a gun? He was an innocent man simply walking down the street for crying out loud -- and with a personality that friends say was the anything but aggressive.
There’s more to the Breonna Taylor story than BLM wants to admit
Ooooh, was THAT the reason members of the Grand Jury wanted to be allowed to share with the public that they weren't given a single charge to consider regarding Breonna's death?
Ahmad Arbery was not a police action.
Riiiight. Isn't it weird that a police officer informed Arbery's mother that her jogging son was killed during the commission of a crime?
You wanna go for more?
Sure. You're on a roll. 🙄

Agreed. White people should be allowed to interfere with or report black on black crime. Mike crossed a line on this one.
So..., for example, a black couple that is your neighbor is involved in a loud, potential violent domestic dispute. As a white citizen, are you less likely to get involved?

Yes, that lady at the park was a moron, but now there is the doubt and grey areas in regards to reporting crimes by white people involving blacks. This whole thing is getting ridiculous. Now we can just let black people mug other blacks. Why get involved? Most black crime is against OTHER blacks. We will just let it go unnoticed

I took your post as sarcasm and agreed with Chris in questioning it. We all know that black on black crime is the single biggest issue that the black community has working against it, and white people should absolutely intervene in an instance of black on black crime and shouldn't be sued for reporting it.

Your paternalism is showing. Now Mike gave an example of people that were bothering him. However, you feel the need to involve yourself in something that has nothing to do with you.

Nope, that requires the combination of education and an open mind.
I’m not sure what that law is going to do, but hey, it’s San Francisco. Ok.., great. People won’t be assholes and make up stories and call the cops without repercussions.

The perception is still there that blacks commit a lot of crime. Backed by statistics. When you have fear, you have Karens. Now you have Karens not calling the cops. Awesome

Or you have a Karen calling the cops on a young black man minding his own business walking home at night from a service station where he'd purchased a soda. Because the guy was a bit of a germaphobe who wore a face covering back before they became fashionable. Some Karen saw this guy on his walk home and called the police saying there was a man who looked "sketchy" in the neighborhood.

The cops came a calling and that young Black man didn't live to see the next day.. Which is worse?

You have mixed arguments. A Karen made a mistake to call the cops and then the cops shot him to death for no apparent reason. That’s weak

"The CAREN Act will expand the definition of a protected class in San Francisco to prevent false emergency calls with the specific intent to discriminate against a person or otherwise infringe the person's rights or cause the person specified harms on the basis of the person's race, color, ancestry, national origin, place of birth, sex, age, religion, creed, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, weight, or height," according to a press release.

“The ordinance creates a civil cause of action for the victim of such discrimination against the person who caused such contact to occur, allowing a successful plaintiff to recover special and general damages of at least $1,000 plus costs and attorney’s fees, and punitive damages in the proper case,” the proposed amendment continued.
“911 calls are not customer service for people’s racism,” tweeted Supervisor Shamann Walton, who introduced the bill.

And will post right wing sites if u copy address. I bypassed it. These links are safe. That link is suspicious.

Or maybe the Karens will think twice before they call the cops on birdwatchers or little girls.

Anecdotally, my wife has never had to respond to a 911 call on a birdwatcher and only on little girls when their mothers call because they can’t parent and are hoping the cops will do their parenting for them.
