Kvatek Inducted Into Hall of Fame

ORLANDO (UCFKnights.com) -- The Collegiate Sports Video Association (CSVA) will induct John Kvatek, Associate Athletic Director of Multimedia and Creative for the University of Central Florida, into the Sports Film and Video Hall of Fame in recognition for his dedication and accomplishments in the sports video profession.

Kvatek has helped pave the way for the future of the sports video profession. He is only the sixth College inductee into the Sports Film and Video Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place at CSVA’s award banquet on Thursday May 12th, 2016 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Kvatek has overseen unprecedented growth in the Video Services Department at UCF. He has been with the Knights since 2004. Along with producing all coaches' video, the department has assumed responsibility for producing all video board content, coaches shows, television ads, and live-event web-streaming.

Prior to his arrival at UCF, Kvatek worked at Pinnacle Systems, Inc., where he worked from 1999-2004. During his tenure at Pinnacle, Kvatek served in various capacities including product marketing manager for Networked News and Sports Editing Solutions and as the Manager of Manufacturing and Integration for Pinnacle's Networked Solutions Group.

Prior to Pinnacle Systems, Kvatek was the Athletic Video Services Coordinator at Wisconsin from 1995-1999. During his time in Madison, Kvatek was responsible for the development and utilization of the world's first digital video network for sports video analysis and editing and was a member of the Kohl Center Design Team. Kvatek has also worked as a video coordinator at Virginia Tech and Miami (Ohio) in their respective athletic departments.

Kvatek was honored with the Sports Video Group College Sports Summit Pioneer Award in 2015. He was also named the 2006-2007 Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year. The national honor followed on the heels of being named the 2006-2007 C-USA Video Coordinator of the Year. He also received the C-USA honor two other times, in 2008-2009 and 2009-2010. Previously, he was the Big Ten Video Coordinator of the Year in 1997-1998.

Kvatek has also been a member of the Customer Advisory Board of XOS Technologies, Inc., and the Sports Video Group (SVG) Advisory Board.

Kvatek, native of Creekside, Pennsylvania is a 1995 graduate of Miami University with a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications. He and his wife, Michelle, have three sons: Conor, Liam and Declan. They reside in Orlando, Florida.
