Because she was locked down with armed security. If she he said she feared at the time that she would be killed, then that would be a reasonable statement. To proclaims that she was almost murdered when no one got near is hyperbole at best.
I was a few rows down from the police officer that was shot at the Citrus Bowl when UCF played Marshall in whatever early Statue year. I don’t claim that I was almost shot, because I know that the events worked out in a way that I was never really in danger. I was pulled down by a friend after the shooting started, because I was being a drunk white dude trying to see what was happening, so at the time the fear was that we were all in danger. I’m just saying if AOC gets to say she was almost murdered, then I get to tell people that the cops tried to shoot me at a football game.
Someone did throw a fire extinguisher at a police officer and a lady crawling in a window was shot (by police?), besides that the deaths were unfortunate but don’t seem to be intentionality caused. I know there were some strange suicides after the fact, but I haven’t really followed much of the deaths from Jan. 6th,
