You have to skip to minute 8 and he starts getting really delirious about this thing.

Best rivalry matchup in the AAC?
We really wanted to be a part of this?
It was going to save the AAC?

LMAO

It's as natural and Marshall vs. UCF and ECU vs. UCF. Rivalry games used to be so important. Now they just aren't. They were always played in November, usually the final week of the season, often in-state rivals.

I think Diaco is a good example of a guy who's probably a good coach, but chose the wrong job because it was the first one he was offered. UCONN is a tough place to win consistently.

You play in a G5 conference that has teams from Florida, Texas, Ohio and the Carolinas. He's recruiting in the tri-state area.

"Awesome"

He does have a point, it has gotten a bit of press. But then again I have to fall back on "look at the silly idea" coverage isn't good coverage.

In the end, even tho he says it's over, a rivalry has been born.

Wikileaks in a few years will show all this, even leaving the trophy, was all planned by both sides.

Only reason it is getting any press is because we rejected the acceptance of it. Like he says, UCF vs UCONN, who cares outside of those fan bases, so why would anyone care about a trophy for the game. only reason anyone cares is because he has turned this game into a bad reality show with a real "conflict"

For decades, the entire Northeast had only Syracuse and BC in Division 1-A (unless you want to broaden the region to eastern PA and Jersey to add Temple and Rutgers (which dropped football and reversed only when a big donor arose 15 years ago). Six states had no 1-A schools. UConn has a wealthy, educated, densely populated region to itself...if it can capture it's mostly NFL fans.
