Does HIMshaw become Gus, or Does Gus Tale the Controller?

There were a few sequences where the play calling seemed very ‘what we were told HIMshaw would do’ and then would weirdly be like ‘oh that’s a Gus Bud call.’

Examples: like 3 RJ Harvey passes but the most unforgivable being when we were driving and had them on their heels and then on 2nd and 10 from the 20 lost 10 yards and ended up w 3rd and 20 from the 30. Others are the obsession with McDonald in an eerily Bowser esque style.

I’m not saying I don’t like the McDonald calls, but the RJ stuff felt very Gus influenced. Meanwhile, when we pushed it we had chance after chance. Lots of success, too. JRP missed the one to Kobe on the last drive but otherwise was on fire down field like we had been told he would be.

So, are the aberrations that remind of last year HIMshaw invoking Gus-style-stuff, or is Gus chirping into the headset and essentially “taking the controller”?
