I hope Frump somehow goes to Jail. He's definitely a criminal with psychotic mind. And the red hats voted this moron into office and still support him smfh!are we going to continue to stay in our stove pipes?
Come ON, Trigeek! It was another PERFECT phone call!!!are we going to continue to stay in our stove pipes?
I won't defend it, but the way the media is representing it isnt accurate. Is ANYBODY here prepared to defend Trump's call?
Is this just "another example of TDS"?
Well, at least we don't have to worry about Donald running again in 2024. His delusional butt will be in jail.
How is that? He did ask for an exact number of votes, he did suggest there would be legal risks, he did continue to propagate falsehoods, He did suggest that if they found a way to recalculate that the people would accept it...I won't defend it, but the way the media is representing it isnt accurate.
What about the media's "representation" isn't accurate?I won't defend it, but the way the media is representing it isnt accurate.

They make it sound like he was just asking raffensberger to find a way to get him enough votes. He spent a lot of time listing all of the different forms and places where they think (x) number of votes are fraudulent. It culminated with him basically saying he doesn't care if they look into all of them, just enough to flip the state. It wasn't a good call by any measure, but it wasn't "I want you to figure out a way to flip the election or you'll be punished", there was a lot more to it than that. What about the media's "representation" isn't accurate?
Wow. Did you listen to the same call I did. Why do you have to spin? It was a despicable and desperate call. Your hang up is that he provided options for them to use as justification? They make it sound like he was just asking raffensberger to find a way to get him enough votes. When I said "I won't defend it" , thats literally what I meant. I'm not justifying anything, and again I will say it was not a good call. I'm correct in saying that the media representation doesn't paint the whole picture. That doesn't make the call any better.Wow. Did you listen to the same call I did. Why do you have to spin? I've listened to the call and all the news I've heard and read accurately reports. However, I guess it's fair to say there may be "Media" that is spinning it to support a specific narrative. I'm certain Hannity, Tucker and right wing media will spin it as nothing to see here and redirect to how terrible it is that a fellow republican recorded the president. To that I'd say, yeah and it should be sending all sorts of warning signs up for our democracy. When I said "I won't defend it" , thats literally what I meant. Whats weird to me is that it sounds like it's being recorded on Trumps end. Everybody else sounds more like they are on a speakerphone.I've listened to the call and all the news I've heard and read accurately reports. I've not heard who recorded it. I heard an interview with the reporter who broke it and she pointed out that both Georgia and DC are one party states with regard to recording. I'd suspect since Trump was requesting the meeting over 18 times the Secretary and his lawyer recorded it to protect against Trump's twitter lies which is exactly what he did.
Did not think of that? Wow, that would be something....I'd imagine the Secretary would be stating that he had no idea of the recording. Now I'm intrigued. Do you think someone not on the call heard it while processing it and released it? WOW!!!Whats weird to me is that it sounds like it's being recorded on Trumps end. No idea. It might have been Trump himself that recorded it and had it released. That would afford him legal protection under Georgia law because it can't be admitted into evidence. He might have been recording it thinking things would go the other way and he'd get them to admit to some form of fraud, then after the veiled threat one of his advisors told him he committed a felony.Did not think of that? Wow, that would be something....I'd imagine the Secretary would be stating that he had no idea of the recording. Now I'm intrigued. I think we heard it directly for ourselves. We heard what we heard. Amazing how the redhats and fox news will spin this. How is that? He did ask for an exact number of votes, he did suggest there would be legal risks, he did continue to propagate falsehoods, He did suggest that if they found a way to recalculate that the people would accept it...
Please explain how the media is mis representing it. I've not heard that....
The recording was released by the Georgia guy's lawyer AFTER Trump started attacking him on Twitter so Trump brought this on himself.I'd suspect since Trump was requesting the meeting over 18 times the Secretary and his lawyer recorded it to protect against Trump's twitter lies which is exactly what he did.
I'm still perplexed when you opine that "the media representation doesn't paint the whole picture." What part of the picture hasn't been painted? Hell, even Trump's Chief of Staff was recording trying to be the 'voice of reason' by asking why we can't we come up with a compromise here? WTF?When I said "I won't defend it" , thats literally what I meant. I'm not justifying anything, and again I will say it was not a good call. 1. What would motivate his lawyer to release that tape? The recording was released by the Georgia guy's lawyer AFTER Trump started attacking him on Twitter so Trump brought this on himself.

He didn't release it until Trump started attacking his client on Twitter.1. What would motivate his lawyer to release that tape?
You're the one arguing there's another side of this that's not being covered. What is it?2. Would anything other than blind, unabashed, unquestioned hatred of Trump satisfy you? You literally, literally have sided with anyone that opposes Trump for any reason at any time. Thats the definition of TDS.
So a lawyer released a tape out of fear of Trump posting on Twitter? Uh, ok I guess. He didn't release it until Trump started attacking his client on Twitter.
You're the one arguing there's another side of this that's not being covered. What is it?
What is a person who listened to that phone call (regardless of their politics) supposed to think? Anyone, other than the most blinded Trump supporter, has got to be literally sick to their stomach listening to that call.
He released it because Trump mischaracterized their conversation. Here's the President's Tweet that he sent out BEFORE the release of the taped call:So a lawyer released a tape out of fear of Trump posting on Twitter? Uh, ok I guess.
You've made that clear. I'm just asking what you meant by your comment on the media's representation. What is the media missing in reporting this story?Once again, because sometimes you guys have serious reading comprehension issues: I am not making a counter argument.
I'm correct in saying that the media representation doesn't paint the whole picture. That doesn't make the call any better.
I don't know. Of course he can correct me if I'm mis-speaking, but I'm sensing Crazyhole is started to see how corrupt and fraudulent Trump is but I'm certain he can tell us that for himself.Everyone who cares about the truth, and can change their mind when presented with new facts, stopped supporting trump years ago.
This changes no one's minds.
I don't know. Of course he can correct me if I'm mis-speaking, but I'm sensing Crazyhole is started to see how corrupt and fraudulent Trump is but I'm certain he can tell us that for himself.
I don't discount the fact that these stories generate a lot of hyperventilating. But its not like the media creates the frenzy. Trump has spent the past four years doing stupid shit that the media (naturally) reacts to since that's what they do.You’ve got a pretty good echo chamber going here but here is one law professor’s opinion on the call.

[No, we’re not going to cover Trump’s call to Georgia Secretary of State]
Trump's phone call is a microcosm of the Trump era -- Trump pushing but not exceeding the legal limits, and the media hyperventilating in a feeding frenzy.legalinsurrection.com

Yep, his transparency is one of the reasons why he's so admired by our Trumpets."He's the same guy in private that he is in public."
He's very good at pushing the limit. He technically did abuse his power but he probably thinks (likely correctly) that what he does will just create chaos but not go any further than wasting energy, time and money. He's like a child who continues to push the boundaries until he gets in real trouble. You’ve got a pretty good echo chamber going here but here is one law professor’s opinion on the call.

I already addressed that. There is context that is missing from the way they present this. The context doesn't make it better or worse but its far from the narrative that Trump called raffensberger and threatened him if he didn't find enough votes to flip the state. He released it because Trump mischaracterized their conversation. Here's the President's Tweet that he sent out BEFORE the release of the taped call:
You've made that clear. I'm just asking what you meant by your comment on the media's representation. What is the media missing in reporting this story?
My opinion of Trump is the same as its always been. If he does something good, I'll point it out. If he does something bad, I'll criticize him for it. The one thing that has changed is that he used to lead the news, lately it seems like he's following it.I don't know. Of course he can correct me if I'm mis-speaking, but I'm sensing Crazyhole is started to see how corrupt and fraudulent Trump is but I'm certain he can tell us that for himself.
