So Rick Scott gets yelled at by some lady in a Starbucks in Gainesville the other day and a video of it made the rounds in the social and TV media. Not a big deal and most people didn't GAF, because she came off as "crazy lady who yells at people in Starbucks."

Except ol' Voldemort. He was pissed. He gets his staff to make a video trashing this woman. Why? Because he's a vindictive prick.

LOL at Voldemort.

I'm genuinely curious about the video's claim that 9,300 jobs in the area have been created since the Governor took office. How many of those are university jobs? Any way to find out?

He has been taking Trump lessons.

How much money did he spend to make this video?

Why shouldn't he respond?

If some dirty hippie left wing extremist anarchist goes apeshit and has her other left wing zealot friend film it, with the sole intention of getting her 15 minutes by assaulting you, wouldn't you want to respond?

No f*cking wonder she can't get a job- she's an abrasive extremist.

I'll bite, and not because I'm a Scott-hater. I think he's done some good and I think he's made some poor decisions (read: he's a politician). He should take the high road on this. Even Jesus Christ himself doesn't have a 100% approval rating. You're going to be criticized for shit you do - that's a fact. But, making a video calling out/poking fun at one of your constituents makes you no better than her. If he wanted to address the question of job creation, then simply making a post on social media would've done the trick. No need to waste time/taxpayer money to create this response.

It was PAC money that paid for it. All the ad does is generate another news cycle that he is so unpopular that people yell at him in public and they aren't so off base that he has to refute it. Amateurs.

Making up stupid names for your political opponents is the totally mature and proves that your side is so better than the other side. Of course just having "sides" is the biggest problem

Yea, I guess.

Then again, the guy has had to deal with "really creative" critics calling him Voldemort for years (get it- he's BALD! And THIN!).

I think he's at the "piss off" point.

Oh a liberal sitting drinking an expensive coffee wanting free crap. What a piece crap lady. At least nicely ask to speak with him. Making a freaking latte liberal scene isn't going to get any real debate. Maybe one day she can get out and look for work instead of being a leech.

No, not people...just an a-hole.

I laughed when she went off about being "poor", yet she was at a Starbucks on her laptop while she enjoyed a somewhat expensive (especially if one was really poor), Iced Soy Caramel Macchiato (upside down), its not a shock that she was really a raging anarchist who use to work for the liberal government.

Only in America can you sit on your lazy butt sipping on an overpriced latte and scream about being poor. So typical of these types...

Lol. Great video. They should have put the ***** name in there too so everyone knows not to hire her.

This women is the definition of a loser. It took five minutes of Internet research to find out all I would ever need to know about her. Why people like her chose to stay in a country they hate I will never understand.

to be honest, I have mixed feelings here. We have a right to disagree and ask questions as well as be an ass like she was. We do not have a right to do that without consequences. With in reason, a politician should take it, at some point and where that point is.... I don't know you stop tolerating bad behavior.

As for the response, it was well done. they politely answered her question, and let her own actions make a fool of her.

She deserves everything she gets. People like her need to understand there are consequences to their actions. Obviously her parents did a poor job of teaching personal responsibility so the PAC behind that response took On the responsibility of educating the liberal. We should all be thankful someone took the time to educate this mutant.

Meh. Poorly handled on both sides. Apparently, there is about 5 minutes of video missing from the start of the incident. He stood away from her and continued to look into his blackberry, even as she began to shout. If you are going to leave, leave immediately. If you are going to stay, go up to her and try to listen to her concerns then tell her you disagree politely and move on, before she starts to feel like you are ignoring her and she feels the need to shout. Standing away from her and shouting back at her about your record just proves the distance that some people feel from him in the first place. Its just an awkward situation and he is awkward, so it just makes it all worse. Having the staffer go up there and run interference for you and looking back at your BB while she is doing it just projects weakness and lack of: Personality, responsibility, and control. Be a leader, not some idiot looking into his phone. The world has plenty of those. That's what separates people like Sanders and Kasich from the Trumps, Scott, and Hillarys of this world. Both Sanders and Kasich would have dealt with her before it was a situation and before the cameras started rolling. Ads like this in response are just childish.

I'd also like to see the numbers on that Alachua County jobs claim, the average salary, and how many of them are on campus and tied to the federal stimulus boondoggle he can't take credit for. Racing to the bottom of the corporate tax structure nationally through giveaways and incentives to attract business so you can shift the tax burden over to people already hiring and working in this state isn't economic development. Its a political hijack for your own personal gain.

I would totally ignore a ragging luantic and keep doing what I was doing (reading emails on phone, discussion with colleague, etc...).

Funny how you seem to put blame on the person who wasn't the a-hole in this situation.

You are only seeing part of it. If a constituent tries to talk to you in public and you ignore them, then you get what you deserve, which is a good yelling. Im not defending this person, Im just saying that if Scott wants to be governor, that means he has to act like it. That includes talking to people when they talk to you and being polite, even if you don't want to do it. If you are rude, then they are rude back, making a commercial about it just makes you look small. Which he is.

She does not deserve one ounce of respect and he owes her nothing. She had an agenda and it would not have mattered one bit of it were Gov Scott or any other republican, her mere existence on this planet is to be a liberal POS.

Gov Scott has done good things for Florida. She is just another crybaby liberal commie feminist looking for her 15 mins of fame. When Trump wins the nomination i highly suggests he takes a look at this guy as his VP.

Really? When all you want is a cup of coffee?

If that raging lunatic would have railed against any Starbucks employee or ANY other customer...that local Starbucks manager would have had that lunatic thrown out of their store...but since that lunatic was acting out like a raging bull against a Republican...the rant was allowed and basically encouraged.

Its not surprising that you continue to think that the raging lunatic was in the right.

Not just that, but where that Starbucks was located. What is so obviously not being discussed is the language she used. If a conservative dared call a liberal politician an asshole in public like that he would be branded all sorts of names. The left is the most dispicable group out there. If you disagree with them they are the most racist, homophobic, anti-Semitic vulgar people you have ever seen.

Holy shit. What?

She doesn't strike me as the kind of person that "tried" to engage in a civic discussion. My guess is that she went to Asshole Level 5 as soon as he walked through the door. She isn't entitled to any sort of personal engagement with the Governor, especially not when acting like a lunatic. If she was pestering him and it was obvious that he wasn't going to debate back, she should have just left it. Instead she went apeshit, started yelling, and assured it was videotaped to get her mug on every news service for being the valiant left wing zealot yelling at Rick Scott.

What next? Should he talk to hysteric zealots while taking a shit too? Perhaps he should take time to listen to screaming morons while pumping gas. There is no possible time when he's in public that he can decline getting into a screaming match with an extremist?

What you're not taking into account is liberals see her as a normal person so her actions are normal to them.

There's an interview out there from the guy that posted the video. He doesnt know the lady or have any connection with her. He pretty much came out and straight up says she went over the top, but it would not have happened if Scott would have listened to her or left when the conversation started. He only started filming after Scott wouldn't respond to her and she started to become agitated.

What's next? Having your reputation slammed in public if you open carry, oppose abortion, advocate for public health and entitlement reform, free speech, or countless other conservative causes. It excuses what the better funded and better motivated left can do to grassroots conservatives. It's not a path the right wants to go down, because it will lose. And Scott took some steps to make it OK for personal reasons. That isn't good government, good leadership, good politics, or good sense.

It is what you get when you elect people based on 30 second commercials and anger, rather than experience and temperament tested throughout decades of public service. They screw up and try to blame others. No matter how much of an idiot this woman was, he didnt know how to handle it properly and it showed. If he can't learn how to do it in 6 years, he will never learn. He is just not a good leader in the public sector. And his selfish way of handling it after the fact is going to set Republicans back.

Conservatives complain about the liberal media, but they bring it on themselves. They get what they deserve because they tolerate fools like this guy, Christine O'Donnell, Trump, West and all the others who have absolutely no business inserting themselves into public leadership without any experience influencing the public discourse. You don't have to have political experience to run for President or an executive office, but you do have a responsibility to know what the eff you are doing so you don't embarrass other candidates and hurt the Republican brand.

Otherwise you get crap like this ...
