It may or may not be the case but it sure as hell isn't a stretch. At the end of the day we are spiritual beings having a human experience. No, you don't need organized religion for spiritual experience but it obviously can provide a helpful framework. When that disappears it doesn't change the quest people have for something to believe in and connect to.

- There is no substitute model.
Only 2 seem likely and both terrify me.
