Emmanuel Greene commits to UCF!

It is all good. I remember some of you were saying Norvell couldn't recruit to Memphis though. He blew that statement up lol

"It's all good". BS. We can say whatever we want about anyone else on OUR board. But don't come here and trash us PussyCat and say "It's all good." I don't go to the PussyBoard, because there is nothing going on over there that I care about. Obviously you care about us, more than we care about you. Or you wouldn't be here. I know it's slow over on the PussyBoard, but you need to get out of your basement and give your mom her sponge bath. You need to apologize to us and then grovel for us to accept your forgiveness. As much as you trashed us here on OUR board....

I will think about it after we get some more 3 and 4* added to our class. Till then congrats on the commit. A good UCF is healthy for the league

Hey PussyBoy, what happened to your bold prediction that was supposed to happen early this month? You bragged and bragged here. It just goes to show you that you don't have a clue. I have a prediction. You are going to go give your mom that sponge bath.

We don't need you here. You need us. There is no one to read your posts over on the PussyBoard. That is why you keep coming back. WE OWN YOU !!!!

Still believe it will happen somewhere this summer

It's great to land a talent like Manny Greene. But just as important is that maybe this will provide possible inroads to IMG Academy, which is full of top notch talent.
The old "open up the pipeline" post. As it's happened in the past this is likely a one time/person commitment. Looks like a great player!

It's just my sense that Frost can gradually develop beneficial relationships with several of the "power" high schools in Florida including IMG, St. Thomas Aquinas and others. Not saying that will happen overnight, but it seems he has the program package and the people skills to build relationships to a level that UCF has not experienced before.

Like being nice and trying to form relationships?

I will get excited after they sign, or at most a week before signing. I don't pay any attention to june.

It's ok to be a little excited...as approx 85% or more of UCF football verbals tend to stick...plus, some early high profile commits can help attract others.

The word is spreading about this coaching staff.....more outstanding athletes like E. Green will be on their way to UCF. Can't wait until the season starts. Our receiving corps is looking amazing for the next few years....now we need to secure both lines and the LB positions.

they are a hard working staff on the recruiting front. It's impressive how many guys they've got to agree to visit UCF

It is just really different from the GOL recruiting tactics. I'm not trying to bash the old regime, we often had decent classes and they were great at closing on good prospects (see Tristan Payton) late in the recruiting season. But it was always difficult to see 15 commitments to Houston or USF when we only had four early in the recruiting season.

I know it means nothing until they sign, but it's exciting to see we are recruiting hard right now especially in Florida.

As hot as Frost, Walters, and Held are why are we offering anyone right now? Make everyone wait until we know we can't sign eight 5 stars.

I think also the GOL method was that he wanted more than a firm commitment. He wanted a pledge that they would stop taking other visits etc., otherwise he would not offer/accept the commitment. I think many of these kids will still have their eyes and ears open through the coming year. However, having these types of commitments early does create a sense of urgency for some who may be sitting on the fence

Firstly, I appreciate all that GOL did to get the program to a higher level, 0-12 notwithstanding. However, I do feel that there is more than one "right way" to do things. While GOL's approach paid dividends for the program, I find the Frost way of recruiting more exciting and I think, more importantly, the recruits are energized by it also.

Recruits want to know that they can play with other successful teammates. As such, creating the early buzz creates a draw and provides many more quality options. I think we are just seeing the beginning of how the Frost approach can take us to even a higher level of recruits.

I understood GOL's hard commitment stance. Word is bond. But I also think it turned off a lot of potential recruits. If I was an 18 year old kid and I loved UCF and I knew that's where I was going to end up, but some other school was going to pay for me to fly there, feed me, and treat me like royalty for a weekend it would be hard to turn that down. We got to remember for some of these kids it may be their first and only chance to see other parts of the country. I may commit to UCF but if Washington is going to fly me out there, shoot yeah I would get a free trip.

More evidence as to why football needs an early signing period.

yeah nothing is guaranteed till signing day but it helps when you get these early commitments and they start communicating & become friends though social media, etc. That will make any temptation to decommit a little harder, especially for the Florida guys
