BREAKING NEWS: EXPLOSION NEAR TIMES SQUARE IN NYC
The New York City police department says several people are injured and one person is in custody after one or more bombs detonated near the Port Authority bus terminal at 42nd Street and Eighth Avenue. The person was reportedly strapped with a bomb. Preliminary indications are that the explosive misfired or went off prematurely.
The A, C, and E subway lines are being evacuated, and the 1, 2, 3, N, Q, R, W and 7 trains are bypassing the Times Sq-42 Street station in both directions.
