A surfing site I frequent had a "Non Surf Related" forum that went the way the cooler has gone, so they created a second NSR forum called NPNR (No Politics No Religion) and it's great. NSR continued to be a cesspool and as of 12/31 it was removed from the site entirely, not sure if it's on timeout or what, but the NPNR forum is a breath of fresh air.
I can search for my post, but I advocating something similar several months ago. I was ridiculed by some and told to start my own interesting, non-political threads if I was so inclined. The problem is that even those threads get turned into a "political bigger d!ck" contest. Oh well, this is my one weekly trip to the WC. See you all next week.
