The SpaceX launch today will return to land at the Cape from the south, so expect a double sonic boom around 3:03 PM in central Florida and the Treasure Coast ( in fact, the first and second stages will separate around 80 km almost directly above Vero Beach as the second stage will turn in the air curving around Palm Beach Island ).
This will be only the second polar orbit launch from the Cape since the 1960’s ( although STS-36 did over fly parts of populated areas in North Carolina in the early 90’s with a national security waiver to send a very important military satellite into space ).
