I WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE OR APOLOGIZE. My ancestors treated their slaves as equals in the early 1900s in Chicago, Michigan and Wisconsin.
Yeah, I was kinda wondering about that one myself. By definition, if you're a slave then you can't truly be an equal to the master (reference point Watto and his treatment of Schmi and Anakin on Tattooine).

Its been downhill since Empire Strikes Back. You need a good villain for a good movie. They've been apologizing for Darth Vader since 1986. Now if Luke turns into Son of Vader and starts whooping some arse, I'll be excited. But right now, giving the franchise that has pretty much sucked since Reagan was President to a guy who ruined Star Trek in just two strikes doesnt get my attention.
