He's too damn stubborn and worried about burning Castellos' redshirt that he instead is blowing the USF game. Get someone else; anyone.

And our DC is going to get hired as a HC.... hahahahahahahah. He's good, but learning and no way near good enough as a DC (some great, some mediocre). I don't think we fire anyone yet.

edit: But do love the hysteria. "He's the best, he's the worst" said for everyone. Hilarious.

Gus similar to GOL thinks he is the smartest guy in the room and fails to adapt. They rather lose sticking to their game plan than admit they may be wrong.

He stuck to the game plan? Do you know what the game plan was? Was it run it down their throats. How many times did USF stop us? By my count once. The others were on the players for putting the ball on the ground. Also, biggest no call of the game. 4th and 9, USF comes out to punt, then switches to offense. Fine, our left end was held, clear as day. The same play happened against Louisville, and the refs called it, negated a 70 yard TD pass for UCF. This game, the refs didn't call it and it should have been 4th and 19. Instead they got a 1st down and changed the entire momentum of the game. If they call it, USF punts, we get the ball with about 4 minutes to go, and maybe we go up 35-0 by the way our offense was playing at that point. Gus didn't call fumble the ball play 3 times in the 2nd half, why would you call it more than twice? LOL! Not sure what the deal is with JRP, why he can't play more than 1 half of football. I am not opposed to burning a redshirt. I think TC is ready to cause a headache or two over the next month. But seriously, as a coach preparing for us, you have the 20 hour rule, and we could run anyone of 3 QB's and be just fine. Another thing I have noticed. Mikey has a problem on the zone stretch reads pulling the ball. Either fix it in practice, or cut it! Bottom line, the offense put up 46 tonight against a scrappy bunch in a rivalry game. I think the offense is fine, if we can just stop turning over the ball. What I am more concerned with is the defense, which Gus doesn't call. I thought they played great last week outside of 3 drives. This week they were opportunistic at times, but for the most part not very good against the run or the pass. Still relying on the other team to just miss throws. To many wide open targets. Not going to beat Tulane like that.

That was too many words for our delusional fans to read, so they will still want to fire Gus and Twill, want MK to start and/or TC or whoever isn’t starting.

Certainly seems to be some truth to those statements.

He put up 46 points and the backs killed 3 drives with fumbles that he probably didn't call for. Just think about it, let it set in. There you go, now you got it. 1 bad drive of the night in play calling, honestly, I didnt get to see that drive. My streaming service cut out and took me back to pregame. When i got the game back, it was 4th and 2. A little pissed I was.

Can somebody remind me of the USF Cincy game? Who led almost the entire game?
Has USF been in most of their games? Just a little snake bit? Can't seem to finish the game? How about UF? Did they get beat by 40? Seems to me they have been close most of the year. Kudos to them for continuing to fight. When we were winless a few years back, once the game turned against us, we quit. These guys haven't done that all year. Don't let their record fool you, that is a quality opponent that has had shit luck. Teams don't miss that pass against them. How many times have we been bailed out by the other team missing a WR or dropping a ball; a ton. What if they didn't. Our record would be similar to theirs. Team culture plays a role, belief in your are going to win. We have it, they just don't quite seem to have it. Haven't since a certain kickoff return and a subsequent fumble. Talk about 2 teams heading in opposite directions. Think about what they have been through since that kick return, and what we have been able to do. Hopefully, we can add another conference championship and head off to the Big 12. 8-6!!!!!!

Off the top of my head yes they have been very close in most games. Yes, Cinci and even very close to beating UF early in the season. They could have been a great contender this season if some of their early games went their way.

They are called paragraphs.

Offensive Guru, seasons where the team has had 4 or more games scoring 14 or less.

2004, 2006, 2008, 2015, 2022

Offense on par with GOL bad years.
Yeah. This is another season where there wasn’t a clear QB. It’s never good. I mean, I know Gus thinks Plumlee is they guy for now, but as an avid football fan I can only put the “serviceable” label on him, and Mikey. At least Mikey seemed to have some leadership qualities. Plumlee just seems to kind of be there.
