1) It's only the first phase of what needs to be a comprehensive overhaul, thus it's name, "The First Step" Act, and

2) If you think this White House had any meaningful role in this legislation other than to add the President's signature, you're REALLY stretching to find something, anything, good to say about him and his administration.

It's one of the few, Libertarian ideals Trump has stuck with. He's shed almost all his others when it has come to civil liberties.

I do have to laugh at people cursing Trump and defending the Clintons. No way this comes around when Hillary in the White House.

Although Sanders might have done it faster than Trump.

• The embarrassing spectacle of our President butt-kissing Russia's Putin,
  
• A disgusting lack of moral authority when it comes to addressing the assassination of a journalist who was a US resident;
• A potential Government shutdown over the funding of a border wall we were all promised was going to be paid by Mexico;
  
• A VERY worrisome Stock Market drop thanks, in large part, to Trump's naive game-playing with tariffs and China's reaction; and
  
• The potential of once-again destabilizing the Middle East by removing troops from Syria.
