I still don't understand how he even qualifies for 'mishandling classified' anything. He signed no agreement with the US gov't. To set that precedent, any American who came across any such info could be thrown into jail for merely securing or disposing of it improperly (which is how this misdemeanor normally works). Manning did that, and 1,001x worse! But Manning was 'holed up,' in total, far less than Assange... which is what cracks me up.

Furthermore, let's not blame this solely on Trump. The left wings in Congress, let alone Hillary, have wanted him thrown in jail ever since the Russians hacked Podesta's account in 2014, since he was still helping his brother (despite denials, FOIA releases in 2018 proved), who was a registered agent of Russia, and far more in bed with Russia than anyone even remotely associated with the Trump campaign. The Russians hacked Podesta's account after he 'cut them off' in 2014.

Yes, if you didn't know, the Podestas were undermining Democracy in the Ukraine during the first Obama term.

Just like with the 'her server was never hacked.' No, the FBI was just prevented from investigating.
