Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep four-star offensive tackle Johnnie Jones Jr. was among the recruits visiting UCF last Friday.
"It was great being able to see them in action," Jones told UCFSports.com. "I spent a lot of time around Coach (Shawn) Clark, the new o-line coach. He was great, very energetic with the guys during the individual and team period. When it was time to correct them, he did it with passion.
"I thought Coach (Scott) Frost was mellow until he needed to turn it up, but he's always calm and never rattled. The players were adapting to Coach Frost's practice style of playing fast and physical."
Jones, who has dozens of offers, currently has official visits scheduled to Colorado, Ole Miss, FSU, UCLA, Penn State and Miami. He said his schedule is not yet finalized and there's a possibility he could take an OV to UCF as well.
