I have a question for everyone who has been complaining about Bernie Sanders and handouts and his so-called plans to give away free stuff.

Do 0% interest rates count as free stuff??

Or is it socialism only when ordinary American citizens receive healthcare or education, and not when billionaires, banks, and mega corporations receive actual free money?

Socialism is when people that I don't like (liberals) get something for their tax dollars not when people that I like (farmers and Wall Street execs) get stuff.

It's a totally legit question. There is a difference between what Bernie is proposing and what we've been doing though, neither being better than the other. I've been railing on this for years: what we are doing is fascism in the most basic sense of the term as far as the bailouts go. Low interest rates don't really fall in the category but it definitely does benefit the rich disproportionately. It sucks that we've gotten to this point and I dont know if there's a way out but the financial sector is worth 30 trillion dollars and over 20% of tax receipts so I'm not sure how you scale that back at this point.
