I didn’t realize that Tedford stepped away before the season. He’s really who shaped him into a decent qb.
Not that good, I've watched most of their games the past 2 years. He has improved, but not by leaps and bounds.
Probably not an FSU transfer. Excellent passing kills his chances to end up there now.

Not sure what you are getting at, but we were an AAC team at the time.....If you saw 90% of his games the last two years like I did you would agree he is a solid G5 QB and nothing more. Otherwise he doesn't use up visits on G5 schools.
I think he would have won more games for us than the QBs Gus played with exception of perhaps Rizk who I believe has real potential.
I think Rizk will be starter but I think the only game he won was Arizona? Maybe 1 more. Gus sucked. Winning wasn’t happening this year with anyone back there.
Nope, won only the one game where everything fell into place for some strange reason like Ok St the year before. Have NO idea what some of you saw in him.....his fundamentals were awful, and go look at his stats for the last two games of the year when opponents knew he was starting and prepared for him.
Same people that said EJ did great in his start. Dude had -6 passing yards and 6 running but he looked great? I saw him looking like he was scared. Throwing to a spot no matter who was in that spot. Not saying he wouldn’t get better, he just wasn’t close to ready and Gus started him.
Yep, Colson was tiny and scared....clearly not ready to play. He really should have stayed in HS this year.
But if he really thought he had something already here he wouldn't be hosting 1 year rentals. Those guys are coming in to start and make more money than say North Texas could pay.
Since when is a coach happy with one starting caliber player?
It’s rare to have multiple starting caliber QBs on same roster. A lot don’t have 1.

If Gus changed his plays to keep MK here and happy. MK is an accurate passer and won many games in spite of Gus. If that all happened we probably Have 1 more Conference Championship, make the Cotton Bowl, and we are in a bowl this year. If Gus could have adjusted to passing QB with DG. We may be back to back BIGXII champs and headed to the playoffs. Heres to hoping Frost adjusts the plays to the players and uses the whole field Like he did in 2017. Hungry, scrappy, and Fast is what we need to be. together
Or at least bring guys in that can play in your offense. Gus recruited guys that don’t fit his offense, just because they were best available and helped his recruiting ranking higher. There are a bunch of kids in Florida that can run and not pass great. They were 2 stars and he didn’t want to make class look bad so he didn’t offer them. They could run his high school offense though.

Could very well be he doesn't start, but the fact that the University of Michigan pursued Mikey alone speaks volumes of what an elite program..... who can practically get anyone they want..... thinks of Mikey's abilities.
I have a feeling he’ll be like KJ here for us after he was pulled. Just helped QBs and was a cheerleader. He realizes he won’t get nfl money so he may as well get NIL to help other QBs. Maybe he goes into coaching in 2 years.
