We don't need to. We recruited one last year and he was ranked as the #1 kicker in the nation.
we already gave a scholarship in the last class to a kicker, Grant Reddick. Kohl's kicking had him as the #1 kicker in the nation.
It’s Gus fault for putting him out there. Change kickers or just go for it and for 2. Gus sucks. 7 seconds left on 3rd down and he puts Boomer out there? Boomer sucks.
Yep. We're good there, if Boomer needs to sit.
If anything, Boomer just needs to 'relax' for a bit. Kid was the best I've ever seen at UCF. And sometimes perfection has a way of being it's own pressure. Maybe time on the bench will do him some good.
I'm kinda tired of the negativity on Boomer. He hit 85 XPs in a row, and a thumb deflected one last game. He met or broke records last year. He also hit the uprights this year. He's had a crisis of confidence. Doesn't mean he sucks.
People (not saying it just to you) need to stop putting their happiness in 19 year-old kids. How many of us were ready for the pressures of life at that age? How many of us handled things well? He doesn't suck.
Ummm... not picking in you alone, but this type of stuff is just petty. Boomer has not only earned his starting position, but he doesn't suck.
He's in a slump. We also have had issues with long snappers this year too. It happens. Chill.

Gus did the right thing, trying to give him a short kick to get his confidence back. Kid’s got the yips and that happens with young kickers from time to time.
Why we couldn’t throw a quick throw to the endzone with :07 left? Frustrating. Boomer, dang he’s definitely in his head. He’s a good kicker and a good dude, but I don’t think you can work out whatever it is he needs to work out in the game.
7 seconds is a long time. We have a coach with a pop Warner mentality. Any 2 step drop takes 5 seconds off clock. Had 2 seconds to spare. I’m sick of Gus.
And what about the time Gus tried to get another play in... and time ran out... earlier this year?

Yes, I don't like the results. But... it's not as simple as many of you are making this out to be. And some of the things some are posting are just petty.

I'm fine being one of the few guys that like Darin + Gus. Combo is being compared to, but is nothing like, Donkey + GOL.
I also remember the Taffe + RobCal complainers too, let alone Frost + Milton haters, especially late -- let alone at the bowl -- in 2016.
Yep. Definitely feeling like a red headed step child in the Big 12. Their two big meal tickets are walking out the door while the refs are treating us like crap. Houston doesn’t have anything to add to post season but are getting treated like a blue blood program.

Considering it’s Thanksgiving break, and we’re 5-6, I don’t see many students clamoring to get back to campus to watch this.
It also seems like Yormark doesn’t care for UCF
