9/5/2022 Louisville Edition:

Let's recap SC State.

Final score was 56-10. Based on where the scores fell in the sims, that was pretty close. Nailed the offense pretty much, but defense was WAY better than expected and the new transfers seemed to gel instantly. Adjustments were made accordingly under-the-hood. Good to see.

The Math prediction was 58-28, and my "Heart" Prediction was 45-17. My friend's son, Julian predicted 56-7 having done no study. SO...I have decided to utilize his Nostradamus skills going forward as part of the write-up (with his father's permission of course).

Onto some Louisville stuff.

----
Louisville Fun-Facts:

Louisville has had a radio station running since 1968. It's also part of Louisville's "Public Radio Partnership", featuring no less than three NPR affiliates. That's impressive.

Like FSU, Louisville has an on campus movie theater that seats 228. The theater can run both 35 mm and DVD projection.

Louisville has no actors, actresses, or pop culture celebrity alumni (at least according to Wikipedia). For a public university of its size, that surprising. Although, James Patterson, co-founder of multiple restaurant chains, including Long John Silvers, Rally's Hamburgers, and Chi-Chi's is a notable alumnus.

----

Players to watch for Louisville:

Malik Cunningham - QB, 6'1", 190. Dual-threat, shifty...can throw. Reminiscent of Teddy Bridgewater

Tiyon Evans - RB, 5' 11", 210. Transfer from Tennessee. Has experience, good weight and speed ratio.

Dee Wiggins - WR, 6'3", 195. Transfer from Miami. Has good speed, can catch in traffic.

***Onto the REAL Beef*** (Or NOTHING, because you are FASTING.)

Weather forecast at 7:30PM Eastern kickoff:
Sunset: 7:37pm
Temp: 81F
Chance of rain: 40%
Slightly less chance than last week. Doesn't matter. It's Florida and football, plan for the unplanned. You've been warned for months anyway, perhaps years...

TV: ESPN

I ran 12 CPU simulations for a good math spread. Half with Rain, half without to simulate approximate rain chance. Louisville is a tough team to read now after watching their game at Syracuse. I almost feel that there is something systemic occuring by how they folded so easily to Syracuse. Syracuse also looks good as well. This will be an interesting prediction.

Average of 12 simulation results:

UCF 44
Louisville 29

Sim Avg Spread:
UCF -15 (Vegas: UCF -6.5 1:22PM 9/5/22)

"Heart" Prediction:

UCF 48
Louisville 24

"heart" spread:

CENTRAL FLORIDA: -24 (Vegas be damned)

My friend's son Julian's prediction:

UCF 42
Louisville 17

Julian's line of doom: UCF -25 (He's not old enough for Vegas, sorry)

Results (Pardon if link to images do not work, they seem...intermittent?)

Very good. FPI has ucf winning 72% of the time, so these would appear more favorable than that figure but seems to be within range, especially with some sims within a FG. Other sims looks like a syracuse blowout

I think the 4th sim is most likely. They score first, we adjust and find our footing to score the next 20 and trade scores to end up 41-28ish
