This Milton kid reminds of Vic Penn. Small, scrappy and scary as heck to watch at times.
And a loser? If that's what you were going by for then yes, I agree. Just like Vic penn.

Milton played ok.. but ultimately will be a fumbler. Scared, too short, small hands. He will have many, many, many more 3+ fumble games in his career.
Defense played awesome, but the stat that is one of the best predictors of a team's success is turnover margin. The problem was OBVIOUSLY largely the 4 turnovers by the offense, no doubt, but the margin is not helped by us not being able to force any turnovers of our own. Unfortunately, we had to live with the freshman QB and his mistakes tonight. But just one INT or fumble recovery by us in a tie game could've won it. I'm not saying the defense is why we lost. I'm just saying turnover margin is why we lost, and that stat does have 2 components. The defense played their asses off. What the F are you talking about, noob?
This was a winnable game that Frost let get away. Don't make me turn on you Frost.
I do think we need to throw the ball down the field a tad more.Still waiting for this venerable Frost offense. All I see is an old school Nebraska running offense running 2 out of 3 downs.

1.) take the QB out if he can't handle the exchange consistently. How was this Frost's fault?
What a bunch of whiny bitches. The kid is 18 years old and performed well for his first game against a P5 team. Such a nice change from O'Leary ball. It was fun to watch despite the loss.
1.) take the QB out if he can't handle the exchange consistently.
2.) don't get cute on special teams. (punting)
3.) put Killins in more.
Frost could have won this by playing a little GOL ball. He wants to go full throttle but doesn't have the talent on offense yet. Win with defense until your offense gets better, don't leave your defense on the field by doing stupid **** on offense. Chinander is the savior for this program.
The kid shouldn't have been in there. O'Leary ball would have won tonight. Geez, I hated typing that, now I need a shower.
Holman and Patti were 19/35 for 241 yards against SCSt, an FCS team. Milton was 21/36 for 260 against a P5. He needs to work on ball security, but I have more faith he'll figure that out, than Holman will magically become an accurate passer this year.
Which do you think is more likely, Milton learns to protect the ball or Holman learns to be accurate after 3 years of no progress?I don't care if you have 500 yards passing, you can't turn it over 4 times.

A healthy Holman would have gone 8 for 24. Maybe we win, maybe we don't. I'd rather lose that game with a QB that can run the offense with some semblance of what it's supposed to be than win and build nothing. The OLine, the WRs, everybody needs game day experience with this offense and they weren't getting it with Holman and Patti. You act like they can't work together to manage a game and limit the turnovers. A healthy Holman would have won tonight.
Why keep playing Holman and delay the inevitable? To maybe beat Maryland? A non conference game. You act like they can't work together to manage a game and limit the turnovers. A healthy Holman would have won tonight.

6 fumbles and 4 turnovers??? You are trolling.Milton did a good job for his first game ever as a true freshman. You trolls need to simmer down.
I'm actually happy we're playing FIU next. We need a guaranteed win next week (i know...i know) to get over this loss. Last thing we need is to play a legit team and go 1-3. Better 2-2 for the kid's morale. If we cant beat fiu then dont know wjay to say
I agree! Not even great HS competition I might addExpectations for Milton to be Joe Montana in his first start are insane.
Yes he had some horrible turnovers. However, they are all attributed to being in the situation he was in.
Milton is several months out from being in HS for heaven sakes. Everyone had him projected as red shirting until 6 days ago.
Think about the sensory overload he was experiencing for a moment.
He goes from playing against opponents who are in HS 6 months ago..... To playing against frigging monster athletes flying around at such at unbelievable pace. Think about how much of a step up in competition, skill, strength, and speed that was for him.
What he did last night has me very excited. He made some plays that you don't teach. His ability to slide in the pocket. Scrambling while still looking down field. There were some really impressive skills shown.
Two of those fumbles where he or the Rb didn't read or execute the option exchange is such an easy fix that practice reps will most likely eliminate.
Let's all hope he gets a ton of reps this week in practice and builds on this week.
Possibly 2-2 with a near 3-1 and improving every week. Seems like this is going exactly as planned.I'm actually happy we're playing FIU next. Hey UCF. **NEWS FLASH***
You want our support, you want sold out games? WIN A ****ING GAME!
Hell throw us a bone and beat a team that's better than us, like this game.
I really gotta give Jerry, Marc and Co. Credit, theyre really great at making a shit sandwich taste good. It seems like Ive been hearing them say the same thing after a loss, over and over again.
