somehow it was leaked.

I think that had to do more with how the cashier characterized his behavior, but it was definitely the wrong way to initiate the encounter. Its actually kind of hard to believe he was going to be arrested over the 20 dollar bill. Who knows where or how he got it? I tried to deposit one that showed up in our till several years ago. It would have been odd for the teller to call the cops and have me arrested for that.Does he tell the cops twice that he had COVID? I swear he did.
What was he doing in the car that made the cops approach it with their guns drawn? Has that been established? I didn’t think that they usually walked up to a car, guns out, over a fake 20.

I guess it'll come out what his behavior was in the store. I'm guessing they felt the need to exercise caution, but the guns drawn very much exacerbated the situation from the get go--perhaps because he was in the middle of doing something illegal in his vehicle? I don't know.
Still doesn't justify a knee on his head that killed him. Why didn't they tase the hell out of him? There were four guys there and no one thought to pull one out to subdue him? Seemed like a textbook time to use one.
Remember that the prosecution has had this the entire time and charged the way they did anyways.Maybe having issues breathing between covid and drugs? The cop charge should likely be manslaughter now. The others I can't see how you convict them? The excessive force was still involved but this case like all the others not as cut and dry. Resisting arrest and being crazy on drugs plus covid positive all involved.
Probably a good reason the msm needs to quit stirring up riots for ratings.
The questions that you’re asking will be answered in court. But agency practices towards the use of tasers to force compliance are different all over.I guess it'll come out what his behavior was in the store. A guns drawn traffic stop is more commonly known as a felony stop is used when there is an expectation of high risk in approaching the car. Responding to someone on drugs or acting crazy in a car with a bunch of other people in the car may have triggered the risk thinking in the officers’ minds.
The defense is probably going to claim that Chauvin did not kill Floyd. There’s ambiguity in the ME’s report and there are signs of Externally-caused asphyxiation that are missing from Floyd. The trial is going to be very interesting.
George Floyd was a dangerous 5 time felon. Home invasion, gun directed at a pregnant girlfriend, and domestic stuff. Not that the cop needs to sit on his throat, but maybe they already had his record and knew how dangerous he was? Already coming into it aggressive with a guy on drugs and infected with covid.
The covid part with breathing issues along with drugs can clearly make death more likely with an aggressive restraint. The officer only knew that he was clearly on drugs but possible had his rap sheet?
I'm guessing that these officers are going to go the same route as the Freddie Grey officers and request a bench trial. That takes the jury pool tainting out of the equation and, most likely, means the trial will focus more on the points of law than the emotions of the situation. Remember that the entire world was sure that the 6 officers in those cases had killed Grey and parts of Baltimore rioted. The prosecutor there charged politically as well and was involved in the investigation. All 6 were either acquitted or had their cases dropped.I think they'll have a difficult time convincing a jury that Chauvin didn't kill Floyd, especially after the prosecution plays a video of him kneeling on his effing head for 8 minutes and George pleading that he can't breathe. Who knows--I just imagine that in this case, a picture could be far more priceless than an explanation to the contrary.
Tossing questions. Wasn't he in the cop car at some point?

This one is different because there is a video and the video looks very bad and the guy with the most charges seems to be a prick. Most people's math on this is as simple police officers restrained guy and guy died; therefore police officers caused the guy's death. Many people get very angry and sometimes violent when anyone suggests that the math isn't necessarily that simple. But being angry and emotional and violent doesn't mean that you're right. There is a possible equation where the police officers restrained the guy and guy died, but guy didn't die from the actions of the police officers. I think this is where the defense will go. So then there is the issue for the officers of whether they took appropriate action afterward and would it have mattered if they had. I think that is where the prosecution will make their best case and it could very well be manslaughter for Chauvin but I'm not really sure that the other 3 will get anything at all.
