Has either one won a BCS game? 4 conference titles? Miami gets pretty good recruits so you can argue that he stinks considering the level of talent Miami has access to recruit. FAU is just FAU and will always be a 3rd tier athletic program. South Florida isn't a big sports area unless you win a lot.
