Google adds Orlando to 10 Cities for YouTube TV Launch

It's missing Food Network, inexcusable. What else am I supposed to have on in the background?

At some point this insanity of everyone doing their own streaming and new content has to come to an end. Or consolidate. There is no way that I want to sign up for and manage 6 different streaming services.

There's also way too many original shows. Every company with cash is making their own content and 75% of the shows are either mediocre or downright crappy. I've tried some of the new Netflix shows and they're mostly boring.

I still love PS Vue, but I might check out YouTube TV. Only downside would be that they might force commercials in their dvr system. I really hope that PS Vue can add CBS Sports in time for college football, otherwise, I will be looking elsewhere.

For UCF football, this seems like the cord cutting way to go. Playstation Vue is pretty good, but spotty local channel coverage nationwide and cbs sports net is not available.
I'm also not sure how easy this is to use from a fireTV or roku box for your main tv and whether the accessory apps work (like watchESPN).

It'll consolidate eventually. People are rushing to the market now and then the market leaders will gobble everyone up and some will fold.

Great news! Looks like I'll be switching over from Sling just in time for the Gold Cup.

EDIT: It's not Roku supported. I think I can just bluetooth my extra iphone to a TV. I wonder if that diminshes quality?

Haven't used it, but that looks like the hangup to me. There are no dedicated apps for it. Potential it just works through the YouTube app on Roku/firetv, but those apps suck already.

True. I am going to try to see if the iphone app for YouTube TV can just Bluetooth into the tv.

I've never messed with it, but the youtube apps built into TVs and Roku's have a way to pair them to your smartphone or laptop. That way you can navigate on your smartphone and that what you pick is displayed on the TV via the app. If this is how they expect the service to work, that's not something that will fly in my household.
