Gus wasn’t allowed to present at the Cocoa football banquet:

I’m pretty sure Gus just couldn’t find the Tigers because he doesn’t know what a team that wins championships looks like.

Boom! He went to Titusville high instead.

Speaking of which, I played basketball for Satellite high and played against Will Perdue. I was the tallest guy on the Satellite team at 6 foot and he was/is 6'10". He scored 44 points on me. Not much I could do other than try to rough him up but that didn't work either. 1982 I think.

Melbourne High….we pretty much sucked in the 80s.

Apparently it’s “an NCAA violation.” What a joke.
The NCAA has become pretty toothless nowadays, but you'd think it would be a no-brainer why it would be a recruiting violation for a college head football coach to speak at a high school event.

But in today's technological world, there are a lot of legal ways to press the envelope. One non-techie way I heard about last year was when a university who --- during the no-contact, dead period --- had their football semi-truck, which they use to haul equipment to away games, park directly across the street from a star recruit's high school.

Now THAT's creative! :)
