I see a movement towards a P4 and year end playoffs based on 64 automatic qualifying teams
by 2018ish.

4 leagues with 16 teams will send their champions to the playoffs.

Big 12 would not be included in automatic qualifier and would only get in if P4 wanted
to get additional teams in the tournament and include a spot for all the other leagues
to fight for.

Nonetheless, getting in Big 12 is more money for UCF and gives us greater access
to more quality games. This is why I believe we should also put efforts into selling ourselves
to the ACC over next 2-3 years, especially if some ACC teams move to Big Ten as it goes to 16.

This year is a little lull but should get fast and furious again as the new P4 structure
is filled up. I believe GOL is the best person we have right now to plead our case over
some green AD who doesn't know UCF.

First BE implodes and next Big 12 implodes...universities chase for cash drives this.

If we were in the B12 I still think we have a shot at top 64 based upon the growth of the program that would happen if we had the B12 schedule and money

First off, the autonomy, playoff and bowl deals are in place for a while. B12 isn't going anywhere. It would require the other 4 to work together very quickly to kill of B12. On top of that the Big and SEC will never give up a shot at 2 playoff teams, so the 4 for 4 conf deal will never work. In the end the B12 what ever it looks like, will be part to the autonomy (P) 5. It will have an auto bid to an access bowl, and will make tons more money than the current G5. will it be the least of these, like the former BE. Probably.

Who says the (future) P4 have to stop @ 16 teams each.
Some of them can have 17 or 18 teams. (What is the difference?)
