Hey there, Cubs fans

Have fun with this twitter timeline that mocks the "Best Fans in Baseball" by retweeting tweets from the Cards fanbase

Crap! They're like those sad Patriots fans that live vicariously through the successes of Tom Brady. You literally can't talk to them about any of the cheating the Pats have done. They take it personally like your mocking their family. Sports fans that take their team this serious are amazing to me. I pity them.

The amount of bandwagon Cub fans is astounding. Seriously, I have ppl texting me who haven't even watched a baseball game.

I'm fully on their bandwagon this offseason since my team sucked so badly this year. I will not be a "fan" but it's an awesome story and I'm rooting for them to finally get one.

There's a difference in "rooting for a good story" than "OMG CUBS GREATEST TEAM EVAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I've seen more of the latter.

I don't like baseball but I was born in Chicago. I'm a superfan now and I don't know one players name on the team!!!

I watched the Cubs play well over 100 times this year. I've watched some of the shittiest baseball out of them during the past 3-4 years, and going even further back into the 1990s and late 1980s. I could not care less who roots for them--it's fun to live in this moment.

As I said in another post, no real fan of Chicago talks trash or acts like an asshole.

I'm ashamed. I really thought we had fans that were above this crap. Oh well. We aren't perfect. I still have the three WS banners the Cardinals have won in my lifetime hanging in my office. Good times.

Oh, and in no way will I root for the Cubs the rest of the way, either. I just think it's pretty awesome that four teams from the NL Central made the playoffs. (Yes, Jason, I know the Astros are now in the AL, but I still remember them as an NL Central squad.).

I was born in Western Illinois, Quad City area. Grew up going to Cubbies games at Wrigley, also the AAA team is located in Des Moines, Iowa part of the quad cities. Was cool to see our farm system guys before they were brought up to the majors back in the day. WGN made lots of people Cubs fans and I don't mind at all!! Our family has been waiting a long time for this type of success!

I forgot all about WGN. Haven't had it in years with DirecTV. Similar situation to the Braves and TBS.

Cubs fans, even players, showed their true colors when they blamed that 26 year-old financial analyst for 2003.

And I say this as a closet Cubbie fan, having listened to Harry Carry every day after school, when the Cubbies were playing, in my early youth.

Not all Cubs fans blamed him. Some of us blamed the players. Alou? Big whiny crybaby. Gonzalez? Useless. Baker? Waste of space when it mattered.

Yes, I should have inserted "some."

Coincidentally I was working in Illinois at the time. They assumed I was a Marlins fan, but quickly introduced them to the statistics that there 3x as many Cubs fans than Marlins fans in Florida.
