Yes, I understand she just got her degree in wildlife ecology and probably really cares about animals ... but that's just plain foolishness if you ask me. Even Steve Irwin had sense enough to stay out of the water (where you can't retreat as fast as you could on dry land) mere feet from a hungry large reptile.
Unfortunately there's an Instagram mentality where he (or she) who gets the most likes wins. But honestly, this girl needs an intervention. Just imagine what would have happened had she slipped on some mud and fell into the water while slowly retreating back to the shore.
