Ummm, did someone miss the budget and pay discussions? He's offering good boosts in pay, so far, for the candidates he wants.

No, we cannot get a lateral move from a P5 coach of the same position. But our staff budget is better than several ACC schools. Even Iowa State and Syracuse couldn't match us on total HC + staff compentation.

Okay, I think I see what you're saying, so correct me if I'm wrong. What you're saying is that we have a lot of coaches who want to work with Frost, and that's making pay more irrelevant than other things.

The way I got it from him is that they see potential here and want to be a part of it. Good recruiting, good weather, resources, facilities and a stable job. Most coaches want a stable job. They don't want to move their families every 2-3 years.

I'd love it if Frost was successful and we could keep him around for at least a decade.
We had two short coaching tenures and what I consider two long HC terms:
1) McDowell and Kruczek;
2) GOL and Keys (abort).

McDowell was forced out and things continued without him being there to reign in Kruczek. I use to love watching the timeout discussions between coach K and McDowell near end of close games. OC Kruczek use to come up with what I would call real "wild knight" plays. Sometimes McDowell would reign him in and you could tell K wasn't happy
