not the 1st time this happened in texas...a few years back a few kids were told to remove their flag shirts because they wore them on cinco de mayo, and he school felt it would be hurtful to mexicans and may cause fights...i didnt realize it was an american holiday...

Lawyers. As you should know from living in Florida, one of more Libertarian states with a bit more left to match the right than, say, Texas, once you ban one type of shirt, you ban them all. We've had our share too.

I'm just surprised school uniforms haven't made a return, although it's not because lawyers (and big business) hasn't been making the argument.
