Under the heading of Unforced Error Hugs is out at WVU. Hugs coached at UCF in 1983-84 under Chuck Machock. Would have been cool to have him return as members of the Big Xll , was talking to Johnny Dawkins about that at the Coaches Tour here in NYC a couple of weeks ago. I'll never understand why people who have the means get behind the wheel under the influence ... get a car service.
Hugs is pushing 70 years old so this is probably the end of his coaching career ... too bad because the game needs characters like Hugs.
