Ok. What’s the Temple Coach doing? He sucks too.Just an FYI for those of you who are interested. This local presser didn't generate much board interest here in the Fan Forum but it sparked a firestorm reaction from Husker fans.
Near the end, at the 24:39 minute mark, Frosty took a 'not-so-subtle' shot at his former AD at Nebraska, Trev Alberts now at Texas A&M. Most Nebraska fans had put SF in their rearview mirrors until this video surfaced.
The consensus in Husker Nation is that Frost needs to quit being a crybaby and blaming others for his failure. Anybody who believes Frost wasn't supported by Nebraska's Powers-that-Be has to be sky high on drugs. Bottom line, real leaders take responsibility for their actions.

I heard that and thought the same. But what do Husker fans think of Trev Alberts and his short tenure there? I do not know much about it, but does not seem like he did much to advance the football side of things. What about other sports? And then after 3 years he leaves his alma mater for A&M. Maybe he was not invested as much in Nebraska and Frost's comment carry some weight. Again, I know nothing about Nebraska so interested in your take.Just an FYI for those of you who are interested. He hired Rhule and was the AD who gave a thumb's up to the plan to have Nebraska's V-ball team have a game in Memorial Stadium which set a world's record for a women's sporting event with an attendance of over 93,000.But what do Husker fans think of Trev Alberts and his short tenure there? I do not know much about it, but does not seem like he did much to advance the football side of things.
Trev's goal is to become the first commissioner of the new CFB league that'll be formed down the road. Whether he ever achieves it or not remains to be seen. But he thinks having serious connections in both the B1G and the SEC will give him an edge. And then after 3 years he leaves his alma mater for A&M. Maybe he was not invested as much in Nebraska
Again, anyone who thinks the University of Nebraska would hire a new AD who was not on our golden boy QB's side is nuts. Frost had gotten off to rocky start by the time Alberts was hired. Most brand-new ADs would immediately fire a football coach with three straight losing seasons, especially at a Blueblood like Nebraska. But Trev kept him on through another losing season...and while most fans said 'enough is enough' after the end of Scott's fourth season, he kept him on into a fifth season as well. As a point of comparison, UCF fans ran Gus Malzahn out of town with a 28-24 record after four seasons. Frost was 16-31 in his fifth season at Nebraska!!!Maybe .... Frost's comment carry some weight.
He's back.
1. As a person who was born in Nebraska, grew up a Husker fan, whose entire family is Husker fans. Husker fans will never completely put Frost in the rearview. As evidenced by them reacting to a comment Frost made in the 24th minute of this presser he did at UCF.Just an FYI for those of you who are interested. What do you expect in this 24/7 social media age? This same interview posted here has been posted to all the Nebraska fan boards with a note to "check out what Frosty's said at the 24:39 mark."As a person who was born in Nebraska, grew up a Husker fan, whose entire family is Husker fans. Husker fans will never completely put Frost in the rearview. As evidenced by them reacting to a comment Frost made in the 24th minute of this presser he did at UCF. Honestly, Frost has been pretty ****ing quiet about his time at Nebraska, and folks like you are searching for any sliver of info/ammunition to get upset about.
Really? I couldn't believe the way fans ripped into Malzahn. He was so awful that Florida State wanted to hire him away as their OC as they did Nebraska's DC, Tony White.Frost was always going to get a huge runway as Nebraska's goldenboy, comparing his stint at Nebraska to Malzahn at UCF is apples and oranges in about 100 different ways.
If Malzahn ripped Mohajir in a press conference at FSU, UCF fans would agree with him. What do you expect in this 24/7 social media age? This same interview posted here has been posted to all the Nebraska fan boards with a note to "check out what Frosty's said at the 24:39 mark."
If Malzahn or Hype bad-mouthed UCF's AD to their FSU or Tennessee fanbases, are you telling me that UCF fans would ignore it?

When a coach tanks your program you are gonna get criticized and Malzahn getting an OC job for a 2 win team and a coach that is on it’s last legs is not the same as Chip Kelly taking the Ohio State OC job. it was a perception saving move for fans and media that didn’t pay attention.Really? He’s 59-56 as a HC in college. He had 1 good year and the rest not so good. Bad hire.
Rhule took over a program that had become a dumpter fire and brought them back to a winning record and a bowl win last year. Tell me again that he was a "Bad hire" after this 2025 season. He’s 59-56 as a HC in college. He had 1 good year and the rest not so good. Bad hire.
LOL That was a great comeback!!! 😄If Heupel ripped his AD at UCF that would be surprising since he's still his boss at Tennessee.

Definitely. I was just saying to my GF, remember when the student section was yelling "fire gus, fire gus" .....What do you expect in this 24/7 social media age? Considering I thought he sucked years ago, I don’t need to wait another year. He sucks. 1 good year he’s ever had. Out of 10 years.Rhule took over a program that had become a dumpter fire and brought them back to a winning record and a bowl win last year. Tell me again that he was a "Bad hire" after this 2025 season.

Whatever, dude. He wasn't the topic of discussion.Considering I thought he sucked years ago, I don’t need to wait another year. He sucks. 1 good year he’s ever had. Out of 10 years.
Malzahn is old news so neither of us wants to waste time rehashing his tenure again now. But that '2-win team with a coach on his last legs' was vying for the national championship two years ago. College football pundits around the nation all took note when Malzahn and White were hired. We'll see if they make a difference this coming season. When a coach tanks your program you are gonna get criticized and Malzahn getting an OC job for a 2 win team and a coach that is on it’s last legs is not the same as Chip Kelly taking the Ohio State OC job.
It was a serious money-saving move for UCF that Malzahn left. The Athletic Department would have been in trouble financially if he'd been fired. In this day and age of CFB, universities hoping to compete at the highest levels of the sport need all the money they can get. I'm assuming Frost's salary has been reported somewhere but I haven't seen it. I'm guessing that one of the benefits of hiring Frost is that they'd get the fan enthusiasm and excitement at his return without paying a king's ransom to get him.it was a perception saving move for fans and media that didn’t pay attention.
You don't now. But you might later."The consensus in Husker Nation"
we.don't.care.
I like Rhule but Temple was not a dumpster fire. The year before Rhule they struggled but they were OK during the previous few years. Rhule s good guy thoughRhule took over a program that had become a dumpter fire and brought them back to a winning record and a bowl win last year.
