I am coming to the conclusion...

memphis has sucked for SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many years in football. WOW

For years Memphis was almost going to go back down to the sunbelt level because a WIN was almost a given any time UCF played them.
Maryland and Rutgers weren't invited to the Big 10 for their stellar football programs. They were invited to open up their TV markets to the Big 10.

So you never know how this will go.

This is a BIG deal for the city and university. Bigger than the Big East

You're trying awfully hard to state your case and it comes off as extremely winded and sad. It's like going up to the cool kids table at lunch and whipping out an excel sheet with all the reasons for them to like you.

Memphis sucks and you should feel bad. I am 100% certain that my life would be horrible as yours if I had gone to Memphis instead of UCF.

that their is no way Texas and Oklahoma are going to allow UCF or USF into the Big 12 and upset the apple cart. Could you imagine what would happen if they let a directional school from Florida in and that school in a short time started to dominate the conference. Sorry, but I just don't see them taking that big of a risk. Therefore, I see Cinci, Memphis, Colorado State and BYU getting the invites.
You have seen the light. They will take schools with endowments over a billion...Cincy and Byu..they may have to dip down, but UCF has an endowment total of 150million about same as USM or La Lafayette

LOCATION...LOCATION...LOCATION...

That's how Maryland and Rutgers got into the BIG...That's WHY Cincinnati, Memphis and UCF SHOULD be invited to the Big-12...Three Schools in the heart of the BIG, SEC and ACC/SEC FOOTPRINT...WITH Good/GREAT Metro Areas...AND Good/GREAT HS Recruiting Grounds!

IF the Big-12 WANTS to SURVIVE, they need to be Pro Active and NOT Reactive...At present they SUFFER from the Old Big East STUPIDITY...WRONG School(s)...Basketball Schools/Texas...CONTROLLING All decession making...That's a DEATH SENTENCE!!!

Going to 12 teams is a Temporary Band-Aid...Going to 14 SHOULD be the Minimum Target...Also add either Connecticut (NE Market), East Carolina (North Carolina and Virginia Markets), Northern Illinois (Chicago Market), or Temple (Philly/NJ Markets)...All these schools mentioned help tie West Virginia to the Big-12...IMHO, adding Houston would be a BIG mistake...Too much Old SWC History...The SWC DIED too!!!

Let's face REALITY...The number wanted by the P-5 Conferences is 64 teams...Four Conferences of 16 Teams...Thats why they wanted so much say and atonomy from the NCAA...If the Big-12 keeps pussy-footing around it WILL Die a Big East Death as well...And NOBODY from the AAC, C-USA or MWC will get an invite!!!

Both the Big-12 and PAC need to expand to become part of the 64 team HAVES, and the PAC can ONLY go EAST...Big-12 Style...The PAC will NOT take any more California Schools, or Religious/Military or MWC Schools...Sooooooooo...Which conference will be the first to SEE THE LIGHT!?!?!?

IMHO, I'd be the first to 16 teams with a 4 Pod Set-Up...That SCREWS the PAC, and puts a stop to the BIG and SEC looking to poach teams from the Big-12!!!

NORTH
Cincinnati
Connecticut/Temple...(I'd go with Temple...Leave U-Conn for The BIG).
Iowa State
Northern Illinois

SOUTH
Central Florida
East Carolina
Memphis
West Virginia

TEXAS
Baylor
TCU
Texas
Texas Tech

PLAINS
Kansas
Kansas State
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State

Play 9 conference games...Your Pod...A Perm Cross Pod Rival (Oklahoma/Texas), and rotate the other teams on a three years basis...And Two OOC Games (11 total regular season games)...The four Pod Winners have a playoff to determine the Big-12 Champ...Thats 13 total games for two teams...

Its a thought...

Good Luck!!!

The reality is that FedEx support is nothing but hot air and wishful thinking.

So, FedEx claims they are ready to be a sponsor of the B12 Championship game and the B12 basketball tournament. NEWS FLASH: Someone is going to sponsor those events anyway, regardless of whether FedEx is involved or not. The only thing FedEx does is add another bidder to the process which MIGHT drive up the final offer by 10% over what the B12 would have gotten for those sponsorships without FedEx.

NEWS FLASH #2: UCF is about $45 million PER YEAR more valuable than Memphis. Memphis fans just can't deal with that reality. Tennessee has about 2.5 million TV households. Florida has about 7.6 million TV households. That means Florida provides three times more Tier 3 revenue for a conference network than Tennessee does. Based on how the B1G Network and the SEC network make their money, even if the B12 network only gets 75% as much as the B1G network per subscriber, UCF is worth approximately $68 million per year while Memphis is only worth about $22 million per year.

I don't think FedEx will come anywhere near making up that large of a difference.

If they went to 6 then UConn, Cincinnati, Memphis, UCF, USF, ECU. The last 4 would be in the top half of football attendance in the Big12

TripleA is clued into realignment info.

B.S. Anybody who claims UH has even a 0.0000001% chance of being invited to the Big 12 has no clue. First, UT loathes UH thanks to a temporary bleacher failure just prior to the one time UT agreed to play UH after the SWC dissolved that prevented thousands of ticket-holding UT fans from attending the game. Second, no Texas-based Big 12 member wants to increase competition for Texas high school recruits. And last, the Texas legislature will not interfere on behalf of UH. The Coogs will forever live in CFB purgatory.

Seems like this could fit almost any G5...

_______________(insert any G5 program here) can be like TCU and improve dramatically in football with B12 membership. Spoke of ___________ (insert most G5 cities here) as a great place for fans to visit can go to the ______________(insert local arena here) for games. Large metro area plenty to do in _____________(insert Orlando, Tampa, Houston, New Orleans, Cincinnati or any other G5 large metro area school). As B12 has many small towns in which the University is located. Fed Ex is a big plus for the conference (read Fed Ex is the only real advantage Memphis has)

Agree

Ga. State can be like TCU and improve dramatically in football with B12 membership. Atlanta is a great place for fans to visit can go to the (stadium X) for games. Large metro area plenty to do in Atlanta. .

Palatka, FL, same thing...

Texas still runs things and is the wealthiest athletic program in the nation (sorry Ohio St.). Their broadcast contract arrangement still allows them to get a huge share of the revenue. UCF hasn't been a directional school for 15 years (at least no more than UC LA) since it became one of the preferred statewide enrollment draws (and 200+K alums). But Texas most of all will nix any school that won't follow its orders. Mizzou and A&M bailed on that scene, but it's perfect for us (for now at least).

Yep. We aren't going until Texas and Oklahoma leave. That's why I think we need to just rebrand ourselves at a state team instead of a small regional team. Florida Technological University Citronauts!

Yeah that would fool them for sure. They would be like Wow! who is this cool new University that nobody has heard of. They have a great name. Just like Georgia State. We should invite them both to the Big 12. How could we go wrong with teams like this!!

Cool deal

Pussy Pride, you are the one that has such the pitiful life that your high point of your day is to come here to trash us. I don't go to other team's boards to be a troll. But I guess when it's just one other person and you on the Pussy board, you get lonely and even bad attention is good for you.
