The data isn’t that fast. Spring break is still happening and many are from out of state. Get the vaccine or else nobody gives a crap about you
Who cares if cases are up when hospitalizations and deaths are down?
Spring breakers are young if the data is even in yet. The elderly are getting vaccinated, so case numbers aren’t as relevant
We shouldn't even be reporting numbers on asymptomatic patients at this point. Just report on the number of people that are hospitalized.

Fauci is a monster. He may have started out with good intentions but now he says that it's not OK for kids to play together without masks unless they've received a vaccine that isn't even approved yet, and he knows that those kids have a .00003% chance of dying from covid. He also knows the psychological damage it is doing to them and he doesn't care. This man is evil.
Of course they don't. They think vaccines don't work so you still have to wear a mask until EVERYBODY is vaccinated. How does that make any sense at all? Either the vaccine protects you or it doesn't. There is no in-between on this.

Only problem with that article is, the state is down to the #s we had in late October. less than 1/2 of what we had in Jan. And Deaths are down 60 to 70% as well. We do need a travel ban to NY though, with 2 mil less people they are having 30% more cases than us.

DeSantis wants to ban vaccine passports. GOOD! It's beyond comprehension to think that we should have to show some form of identification to go watch a football game but not have one to vote.
It seems to me that voting is one issue where we could come up with a bipartisan solution. Republicans want security and Democrats want access. Expanding opportunities for voting combined with requiring a picture ID seems like a reasonable compromise to me.

I give Biden administration credit on how fast they are rolling them out. That said initially there were only 10 million produced, and that was before emergency approval. J&J were not even approved before Biden took over. I have no doubt production would have ramped up the same way with trump. Trump approved and paid for 10 million doses before the medication was approved, Pfizer was approved Dec 12, and Moderna was approved on Dec 18, Biden took office Jan 6, Trump didn't have a couple of months to ramp it up, Biden was in office less than a month after approval.

You can't get them out until producers have them available, and it took 4 to 6 weeks for the companies to ramp it up. On Jan 14, 1.1 mil doses were given.
So once again, in one month Trump went from 0 to 1.1 mil per day. Biden took 2 mos to go from 1.1 mil to 2.3 mil per day.
Trump and Biden are responsible to make sure supply is ramped up ASAP and Shipped to the states. The actual getting shots into arms is not handled by the Feds. It is done at the State level.

Production is solely dependent on the private companies and has nothing to do with the US Government. The big Governmental enabler here was the OWS removal of risk on the companies by eliminating regulatory burden and guaranteeing buys of hundreds of millions of dollars. The only other role the USG has is to divide them up among the states and the federal distribution programs. Oh, and we’d have more vaccinated here if we didn’t send a bunch overseas, but that story died almost instantly so obviously no one cares.
